I would love to know what Bible these so called Christians are reading. Sometimes I'm ashamed to call myself a Christian. It says they're DENOUNCING the ban. That means they don't agree with it. Sounds like they are reading their bibles.  |

My church came out with a statement the day after the ban not specifically denouncing it (trying to remain politically neutral) but reading between the lines, it was very much the opposite of support. I was very happy to see it. They very often remain out of political debates. I'm glad the leadership sees this as a humanitarian issue and not a political one.

The 2nd group mentioned in the article are supporting it, the 100 that signed the ban are opposing it. It's a little confusing, the way the article is written. I too am disgusted by those supporting it - and gobsmacked by the %s given of "Christians supporting it". It's just the polar opposite of what I believe as a follower of Christ & I can't wrap my brain around it. What Would Jesus Do? |
