Thanks again girls. I'm going to list it on Friday as I'm available to show it over the weekend. Definitely going to list the mattress. After thinking about it, I recall selling my mom's mattress a few years ago and had no problems finding a buyer. Really hope to sell both pieces quickly (my new pieces are ready to be scheduled for delivery) so I'll price accordingly.
Quick question. I'd just as soon not try and find a friend to hang out with me while I'm showing. I live alone in a secure condo on a busy street. I figured I'll go down to the main lobby (which is not in the condo's secure area) and size up any potential buyers before letting them in. That lobby is also the lobby to the street level bank and coffee shop in our building so folks are in and out of that area all the time. Once up to my unit I thought I'd keep my front door propped wide open and always keep myself between the buyer(s) and the door. Crazy speak, or safe enough? In the past I always made sure my (then) husband was home at the time of showings.

I tend to say price low for Craigslist, but I have listed two items on CL both from Pottery Barn, that I got a good price because of the name, but also because the item or the finish of the item was discontinued (like you said your headboard was - may want to identify as such - sorry couldn't view the ad.
Good luck!

Mattresses go like hot cakes on the local FB classifieds. People definitely buy used mattresses. I would put he whole thing on for $1000 to start. Make sure to show pics of the storage part really well- that's a lot of added value!
