Not that I expected anything different, even after all the hubbub yesterday and overnight, but it would be nice to spend one day not feeling like I just got kicked in the guts.

Well, it would be nice if some of the Republicans who claimed they didn't support him would grow a set of balls and stand up for what is right rather then blindly following trump because they are afraid to cross him.

Kinda hoping our next President is a gay Arab-American. Bonus points if she's an atheist vegan.....

Of course he was confirmed. What republican isn't going to vote for it? can you imagine the wrath of Trump? we just have to get used to the fact that everything Trump wants to pass is going to pass, unless it is taken to court, and even then, when the supreme court nominee is confirmed, that will be a done deal also. Let's just hope people figure it out over the next 4 yrs, and not too much damage is done.

He cannot do anything to them besides veto their legislation. They should be very afraid of OUR WRATH. They all seem to have forgotten who it is exactly that they work for-US. And it is becoming blatantly obvious hat they are not acting in our best interests, nor are they acting on the will of their constituents. We need to take back our power and vote them all out come midterms.

After Devos' confirmation, I think there is no hope that any of Trump's appointees will be turned down.

What is happening is the Repubs are waiting for his poll numbers to continue to drop. There is a point at which they will say that they don't care about following tiny hands because it makes them look bad if the country is against him. Wake up idiots, we already think you look bad. The DeVos thing was the icing on the cake. So many of their constituents didn't want her confirmed but she gave them money so they had to.
It is a game for them. Let tiny hands dig himself into a hole and then take over and do what they really want to.

After Devos' confirmation, I think there is no hope that any of Trump's appointees will be turned down. Yep. When she was proposed, I thought maybe she was supposed to be the sacrificial lamb - get everyone riled up about her so that they forget about all these other awful candidates. I mean, she had nothing to recommend her at all - at least Sessions actually went to law school. So I figured she was the distraction that 45 was willing to sacrifice, while still being able to say "See, I put you up for nomination, what else could I have done?" Heck, maybe that really was the plan, and it just worked so well she wasn't even sacrificed. Time to exert my energies on something other than protesting nominees, since it's pretty damn clear that's not going to work. May as well try something else.

I think you are giving him too much credit for strategy. He has no clue what he is doing and truly thinks these people are good nominees or he is trying to pay back loyalty and favors - and he wouldn't be the first to do that latter. Either way, I'm most disappointed in the Republican Senate for not challenging some of these people. I don't believe most of them wanted Trump either so why do they have to give in on everything. Can't they see he is going to walk all over them?

If our country is really messed up by 2018 I can see a change in Congress. I know there's a huge push to vote in Democrats, but I don't see votes changing drastically in that election.

Somebody gave me the very good advice to pick a couple of issues that are most important to me and agitate/protest for those. If we all try to call/write/protest about everything this idiot and his people do, we risk burnout and apathy. Mine are education and immigrants' rights. I haven't stopped caring about other issues, but I'm going to focus the bulk of my energy there.

It is now the time for another Martin Luther King to rise up and polarize African Americans to unite and take these states away from the bigots. I can not believe in 2017, we are fighting this fight again.
Every single Senator who voted to confirm Sessions and has 1 black constituent should hang their head in shame.
