I am mostly a lurker here. I have always enjoyed reading this board and this is my 1st post.
I am looking to sign up for a scrapbooking kit right now. It will be my 1st subscription ever. I was looking at different kit clubs and and amazed that there are so many of them out there. But they all look same to me when I look at them. The one thing that stands out is them having kits full of american crafts products. I love american craft products but if that's what all the kit clubs offer and they all look exact same.
I checked out hip kit club and citrus twist, cocoa daisy and clique kits. Hip kit club looks like a kit full of products and more value for the money but all of their kits are looking similar and probably because they all are full of american craft products. Do they offer exclusive products in their kits? They seem inconsistent for exclusive products.I do see some exclusive products in their past kits but not too many right now. They do have exclusive pl cards but not a fan of those and I am looking for a good scrapbook kit club. Citrus twist has too many pastel colors for their exclusive products. Cocoa daisy looks a little appealing but they do not offer as many products as hip kits. Clique kits basically takes one line and makes a kit out of it. I would love variety and products from different manufacturers other than american crafts. I do not mind a little bit of american craft products but I do not want kits which look same every time and that's not possible if so many kit club offer their kits full of american craft products.
How is your personal experience with your scrapbook kit club? Which one would you prefer? Your input and suggestions are appreciated.

Felicity Jane is a major favorite around here! The colors are pretty consistent with each other and some (all???) of it is exclusive.

I am a Hip Kit member. I do think it is mostly American Craft products (I have seen some pink fresh as well), however they are the major supplier in the industry. As far as exclusives, this is not the official word, but the best I can tell is if she can't find products that fulfill the vision then she mixes in exclusive items.
I have bounced around different clubs over the past few years and landed here last May. I haven't looked any further. The product mix is wonderful and I think the inspiration is top notch. I knew it was for me when I found myself buying product and then getting the same thing in the kit the next month.
Maybe try a couple of clubs on a monthly basis and see which one is for you.

Club scrap has beautiful kits... but too many papers are too pretty to use! They have their own line of papers

Awesome to know that you are enjoying your hip kit club subscription. They really have too many products in their monthly kits and a good value for money. I will definitely keep an eye on it. Just wish that they include more exclusives. It is a good idea to try some kits on a monthly basis. I never thought of that. I might try hip kits 1st. I love pink fresh. Their whimsical style with some fun geometric elements is very appealing. I have bought their each and every collection and love their papers and embellishments. Their leather stickers from the mix no. 1 and dream on look so pretty and I am desperately waiting for them to arrive at scrapbook.com I hope hip kits include more of their products. Some of my other favorite manufacturers are Elle studio, Photo play and cocoa vanilla studio. Elle studio has really cool kits too. I am planning to subscribe to that one for sure. Hope their paper quality is good. I do not own much from them so no idea what to expect. But their designs are really nice. SaveSaveSaveSave

I don't think Scraptastic has a scrapbook kit anymore - just planner and PL. Scrapbook Generation also has kits, although they are mostly paper and not really embellishments.

I have tried out a few kit clubs. In the past I subbed to Scrapbook Circle and Citrus Twist. Both have excellent customer service and a decent amount of product. I finished my CT sub when I felt the kits were getting a bit disjointed and the stamps overall were a bit disappointing.
Then I switched to Hip Kit. I enjoyed my sub although I found the embellishments in the main Scrapbook kit a bit 'samey' and boring after a few months. And I didn't want to spend extra to buy the embellishment kit, colour kit etc. As a plus, HK have great digital files including subscriber exclusives.
I've just started a sub with Cocoa Daisy. I bought a couple of kits on sale to see what I thought before I signed up.
As others have said Felicity Jane is all exclusive product. I've bought the odd kit and paper packs but it's not my first choice for a sub because a lot of the value is in the stamp, which I'm not always a huge fan of.
Hope you can find something you like - you could always buy a kit from a couple of companies to test things out.

I like the Felicity Jane kits. I think you should also look into The Scrap Room. They have a little different twist on things with their kit. I have also had great success with Cocoa Daisy.

Any opinions on the Freckled Fawn kits? They are great. But you do don't get paper to use with them. I have a bunch of them but I tend not to use them because I don't have all the coordinating stuff to go with them. I've subbed to kits for years. I took a break the lady 6 months but recently I am getting 3 months worth of clique kits because if you prepay its a great deal and I like the value on the kits, I'm trying citrus twist as I was able to sub for 6 months by buying 4 prior kits at once to save on cost and shipping, and I just bought two months worth of scrapbook circle. For me, I need to be inspired so I spend a lot of time looking at the design team projects plus the contents to see if I'm getting stuff I want

I don't think Scraptastic has a scrapbook kit anymore - just planner and PL. Scrapbook Generation also has kits, although they are mostly paper and not really embellishments. Thank you so much for mentioning Scrapbook Generation! I felt like I should point out that all six of our kit clubs include embellishments -- stickers or die-cut packs. The misunderstanding may be from the Super Sketch Club -- which has three parts. The main part (which makes three double-page layouts) has a matching embellishment; the two smaller parts (one double-page layout each) are paper only. Super Sketch Club is our most popular kit club, and such a good value, offering five double-page layouts for $24. Save

I've only belonged to one kit club... Swirlydoos. I like the vintage/shabby chic look and that is their specialty. They have a mixed media add-on in addition to several other add-ons that all coordinate back to the main monthly kit.
I suggest looking around at the different kit clubs and their DT projects to see if it meets your style.

Can I ask why you are interested in a kit club? Based on your comments, you seem like me -- picky. I have never found a kit club whose kits I like consistently so I have never subscribed and use my money to buy what I like. You might be better off doing the same if you don't love what any one kit club offers.

I always struggle with that part and that's why I feel like trying a kit club. And I would prefer products from different manufacturers along with some exclusives too. I bought few kits today to try out. Hope that goes well. Thank you for all your suggestions. SaveSave

Look at mycreativescrapbook.com they have 4 kits to choose from & seem to mix companies well.
Personally I have tried a lot of clubs & it depends on if your buying lines you like as they come out or looking to get bits & pieces based on a scrapper you like. Example: I love Missy Whidden so I subscribed to Hip Kit. I then realized after months of kits, I love her work but the kits don't work for me because I do boy but Hip Kit is very girly & are mostly AC products.
The one kit I really liked overall was Citrus Twist which was a really good mix so I could follow my favorite scrappers but use products better suited to me.

. As far as exclusives, this is not the official word, but the best I can tell is if she can't find products that fulfill the vision then she mixes in exclusive items. This is my understanding for Hip Kits as well. I like the kits at mycreativescrapbook.com and noelmignon as well. I just switched from Hip Kit to Clique Kits. I really like Hip Kits and that I can pick a couple of kits to work with as they seem to go together. I just wanted to try some other kits. I plan on switching to one of the others I mentioned after Clique Kits. I'll see which ones really speak to me that way. Welcome to conversing at the pod! and good luck on your search.

I had only ever experienced Gossamer Blue one time (their December Memories 2016 kit) and I fell so much in love with them that I started subscribing last month! I am SUPER SUPER excited to get this month's kit. Looks just perfect! Enjoy twillerbee and welcome!
