Going to be traveling to St. Louis, MO this summer with some friends looking for scrapbooking stores in the area or close to St Louis. Any suggestions? Traveling from Iowa heading south.

Red Lead Paperworks is a mixed media store. I'm not sure if they are still a brick and mortar though.

Love to have you visit us at SG (in Springfield, MO), but we are about a 4-hour trip from St. Louis.

Red Lead Paperworks is still open (at least according to their website). I've never been there but have heard good things about them. I do recommend the Scrapbook Factory in O'Fallon, IL. They have a huge selection of paper, stamps, dies, etc and the ladies in the shop are very helpful.

The Scrapbook Factory is located between exits 14 and 16 on I 64 east. I usually make a couple of trips there every year and it's 150 miles one way.
Too bad you won't be there the second weekend in April. CKC will be in Collinsville, about 15 minutes from St. Louis.

I've been to Scrapbook Factory in O'Fallon. Huge inventory. New mixed with old. I definitely found some good stuff.

Scrapbook Factory is decent and the staff is really friendly. In general, the majority of their stuff is priced $1 over suggested retail, so just a little heads up. I stop by when I'm in the area, but I'm always wary of pricing. It's a nice little store, though.
I haven't been to Red Lead in forever. I totally forgot about them! There's Art Mart on Hanley, too, for general supplies/mixed media.

Actually Red Lead closed their physical shop well over a year or so ago. They are now only an online shop. Scrapbook Factory in O'Fallon, IL is the only brick and mortar store left that I know of. The only time I get out there is when CKC is going on.

If you don't have any of the big name national craft stores in your locale there is also a Hobby Lobby, Joann's, and Michael's within a couple of miles of The Scrapbook Factory.

The Checkered Cottage in Kirkwood (a quaint suburb of STL) is my favorite. They have a section in the back of the store where folks can consign their unwanted items and you can get some amazing deals. 135 W Jefferson Ave, St. Louis, MO 63122

Depending on your route of travel, you could come down hwy 63 to Columbia, MO and stop by Soul Sentiments (which is right off I-70) and then head east on I-70 and make a quick drive to Mexico to stop at Scrapbook Store and More, then continue on I-70 to St. Louis. http.soulsentimentsscrapbooking.comwww.thesbstore.com

I'm about 35 miles over on the east side of the river, but it sounds like it might be worth a trip.
