Just wondering what it is like to work at Costco. I recently got a membership and it is so refreshing to see happy and enthusiastic workers when I shop there. I am hoping to be a sub. teacher but if that doesn't work... I might apply at Costco. Can you give me the ins and outs, please. Starting pay, do you get to pick what you would do..ie cashier vs. bakery, hours, how flexible are they, do you work mixed hours each week, vacation, benefits, etc. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

I've heard great things about them as an employer but can honestly say not all of them are "happy and enthusiastic" workers...at least not at ours. But I do love shopping there and usually have a good experience.

I know several people who work at Costco. They treat their employees well and starting wages are well above minimum wage - I don't know details, but everyone I know who works there thinks they are a great company to work for ... insurance is really good there as well!
I'm not sure that you'd get to "pick" where you work necessarily. You're going to be applying for specific jobs where there is a need. Now once employed, moving around might be easy, but to get hired, you're going to be working in the position you applied for.
