I was laughing until about halfway through, when I had to stop. Because all of a sudden it just wasn't that funny anymore. This is the world we are living in now. A world where a quasi-journalist on national tv has to spend 20 minutes explaining what facts are... and why we should still value them.
I mean, I just don't know what there is to say anymore.

I hear you. Sometimes it is a bit over-whelming Twilight Zone-ish!! My kids are 17 and 19 and I have to keep telling them that this. is. not. normal. They ask questions sometimes that I have No frame of reference to draw from, whatsoever! The only bright side is I don't think they or their generation will take things for granted again. They will fight for what's right. And pay attention. and vote. and do everything they can to not repeat the insanity. |
