Does anyone have any experience using the Becky Higgins Project Life App and could you answer a few questions for me? Is it easy to use? How do you store your layouts? Are they all 12x12, or can you choose other sizes? Can you upload them to a printer like Shutterfly? How do they look in print? Ok, grainy, too small? If I have separate papers and cards from other Digi scrapbooking kits can I upload them on my phone and snap them into the templates in the app? Thanks!!

I used the app once to order a 12x12 photo of my nephew. I made it black and white and ordered it through Becky Higgins, it arrived very quickly and the quality looked great. I now only use the app to print the Project Life cards with square corners. I export the cards to my computer and then print them in word onto regular paper. So, not sure if this answers your questions. Trish

I love the Project Life app. I've even purchased a few of the kits and I plan to purchase a few of the additional layout sets in the future. This is from someone who hates paying for apps.
For me, the app works best for PL style scrapbooking without a lot of journaling. You can export to 12x12 or 8x8, but you should always export to 12x12 for the highest resolution (per Becky). You can then print that image at 8x8 or even 6x6.
I haven't uploaded the layouts anywhere (I was lucky enough to have a friend print them for me), but from what I've heard, there aren't any quality issues unless the photo itself was low res.
You can use other digital elements, but I haven't done that so I don't how that works. I assume if the digital element is a jpg file, the app treats it like a photo. I've also heard of people opening their exported layout into another program to add additional digital elements or journaling.
Her YouTube videos are a good introduction and there are Facebook groups for the app.

To use other digital elements and papers, I save the elements to Dropbox and the papers to my camera roll, then I make a card in an app called LetterGlow and save it as a JPEG. Then I can use it in Project Life.

If you are interested in a class there is one at Modern Photo Solutions. There is a free one that focuses on Google Photos and a paid one on using the PL app (apple phones only right now).

Great group on Facebook called a Project Life App Scrappers. I've used the app since it came out, started finding it constraining about a year ago and branched out into using other apps as well. I'm happy now.
