As I posted on a leggings thread recently, DD (12) and I both love Viv leggings that I buy on Amazon. I have several colors and she only wears charcoal gray and black - I have those as well.
So this morning we are running late as always and the last part of getting dressed for me is putting on my clothes. I get the charcoal gray leggings on, and it was a struggle (which is unusual) and I realize that DD's leggings must have been put in my drawer.
As she wears the regular size and I wear plus, this is an issue.
I look through the rest of my leggings and the ones I have on (barely) are the only ones that work with the rest of my outfit.
I didn't have time to go to her room (which is a pit) and search for MY charcoal leggings and we were already running late, so I had to leave the house wearing hers.
I feel like the seams are going to rupture at any given moment.
I cannot wait until I am off work and can run home and change into a t-shirt and yoga pants before I run carpool.

And she'll be pissed you might out stretch hers. Maybe write the first letter of your name on the tag inside the pants or buy a clothing label from etsy and sew it in.

My husband is often the one that folds the laundry. As much as I love him, he cannot tell the difference between my clothes and my dd's. I am plus size and she's a size two. I love that he has blinders when it comes to my body, but, sheesh, her pants will not fit over this butt.

She realizes that I pay for her clothes AND if I ruin them I will replace them. I'm actually the one that's a little miffed because 1) I'm uncomfortable and 2) if her room wasn't such a pit I would have been able to go in and find my leggings. Yes, we will be labeling them from now on.

I told DH and I'm sure he thinks he's the one that sorted them incorrectly - b/c with the rest of our clothes he usually is - but these leggings, it is seriously impossible to tell until they're on your body. And then you KNOW.

My husband often puts my socks with the kids socks, since I have those little ankle socks and they have regular kids socks, it took me a while to figure out why I was always low in socks, yep in the kids drawer.

Yay, glad it's not just my dh, and yes, there is a rather large size difference between me and my teeny tiny 17 yr old dd. In addition to style difference

My two dd's are pretty close to the same size. I always sort the wrong pants into their baskets. I keep telling them that if they did their own laundry, we wouldn't have that problem. Seems that they'd rather deal with the mix-ups .

I hear ya. My oldest daughter and I both have a lot of black leggings, and sorting them out with my aging eyes is such a pain.

DH and ds1 are wearing the same size jeans. Ds2 is almost there. Because all of the jeans get washed together, as soon as we buy any new jeans, a letter gets put on the tag for who ever it belongs to. Thankfully, their names all start with different letters.
And I'm glad I'm the only girl.

This reminds me of the time my exDH washed all my wool sweaters. They were smaller than my dd's sweaters, and she was only 4. He had them neatly folded on the bed. I had to laugh...I held them up and said "really, you didn't see a problem as you were folding." He admitted they looked small, but he wasn't sure.

I went to look and had to laugh--they were obviously sized in China and I am not sure I could have got one leg in the pair he was going to get me. Even the "plus sized" leggings were about a medium. I didn't know whether to be flattered or exasperated. He's so cute.

And then plus sized me. DH has no clue, and I have two pit-like rooms to search for my clothes. We've had the same specific issue with black leggings.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a clueless husband. hey, he's folding the clothes, right? he does mix up everyone else's clothes too, so it's not just me.

I've never heard of this brand but the have lots of reviews and I see lots of 4 and 5 stars. Are they true to size? Why do you love them so much?
I wear a 12/14 these days and am trying to get to a 10 again, if not an 8 so I really don't like spending lots of money on high dollar brands right now.

They are very much the same as Lularoe leggings (very soft brushed fabric) for a much lower price, plus an easier purchasing model via Amazon. Like LLR, they come in two sizes - regular (which fits up to size 12) and plus sized (says sizes 12-24). So they'll fit a wide variety of people or the same person through weight loss. I like mine a lot and part of the reason is because I'm also losing weight and at an awkward in between size right now. My 18s are getting a little too big, but the 16s are still uncomfortably tight. Leggings are more forgiving.

I have heard the Viv leggings compared to LLR but I haven't worn those so I can't tell you if the waistband is similar or not. I've found that our Viv leggings hold up very well to washing - DD wears hers 2-3 times per week I would say and we aren't always good about hanging them to dry as recommended. She tends to be hard on clothing and she hasn't found a way to rip or tear or stain her Viv leggings yet. I find them to be so comfy that I feel like I'm leaving home in my pjs.

Oh this reminds me of when hubby separated clothes once and gave me our daughter's bra which wouldn't have been too bad except it was a training bra with scooby doo on it LOL

Thank you for giving me an alternative! I have 5 LLR leggings and while I love them just don't want to play the game to get the dang clothing. I did give a glance at the plus size and they are cute! I need lighter summery colors though. Why does everything have to be based on black?

I need lighter summery colors though. Why does everything have to be based on black? I have the same issue - I am to the point that through the fall and winter (or whatever season Texas has had this year) these leggings are what I'm wearing the majority of the time. I don't want to part with them for spring/summer but there aren't any colors that I feel work well for the coming seasons.
