OK, total fluff post... but what is your favorite type of K cup? We are getting a Keurig this week and I can't wait to try some out!

Before you invest in a Keurig, may I please encourage you to check out the Starbucks Verismo. If you can, do a side by side taste test, and you'll notice a huge difference in taste and quality, not to mention functionality and versatility. I've had both, and it's hands down no contest Verismo for the win by a wide margin.
If you do decide to go with keurig, I like the Dunkin K cups, as well as Gevalia.

I am a simpleton. I do not have luck with the My K-cup so I buy the regular cups. Caribou Mahogany, or Starbucks Pike Place or French Roast are my go-to's. No flavors. Booooring, I know.

I like a light roast too. My absolute favorite is called Our Blend by Green Mountain. I can't buy it locally so I order it in bulk from either Amazon or mostly from Big Cat Coffee. If I run out and need to buy some locally, my second favorite is Green Mountain Breakfast Blend.

I like a blonde roast, so I get Starbucks Veranda (and then mix it with vanilla syrup, foamed milk, and a cinnamon marshmallow).

Green mountain breakfast for me as well. You didn't ask, but I can't stand the community coffee ones.

Another light roast and Green Mountain fan. I also like Krispy Kreme's smooth. If I'm in the mood for a stronger cup, I like McDonald k-cups a lot. I get a big box at Sams Club when it's on sale.

If you can, try and pick up sampler boxes. It's amazing how various brands taste so differently. Keep in mind the regular brew, light, bold etc. I like a fairly strong coffee but the bold ones I can't stand, they taste way too strong for me. Yet some people love them, I can't even handle the smell.
For Starbucks I only like the Blonde because it is one of the lighter tastes. Flavored cups I find some taste like a perfume smells. I like most of the Green Mountain flavors, Donut Shop is a favorite no matter the maker.
If you have a Christmas Tree Shop near you they have small 12 packs on sale for like $3.99 which is great to try them.
Have fun.

For flavored K Cups, I LOVE Jamaica Me Crazy. You can only get it at BB&B, so I don't get it often because I am rarely near one.

Hands down, Tim Horton's Original I used to get Dunkin Donuts k-cups. Then I bought a couple of boxes of Tim Hortons. After that was gone, I went back to DD's and it tasted like dishwater! Blech! Now, we travel to get Timmy's!

I also love a lighter coffee and my favorite it Caribou Daybreak. Costco used to sell it in the big boxes but don't any longer

I actually like the McDonald's ones. I love McDonald's coffee to start with. I do have issues with them working right though. The ones that are ribbed constantly plug up my machine and leave a cup full of grounds if I do get them to brew. If I buy the big box of them (36 count, or the bigger one from Sam's) I have no issue. They are smooth sided. I have discovered if you puncture the ribbed ones first before putting them in the machine, to release the pressure - then they work fine.

I like McDonalds, Tim Horton's, Dunkin Donuts, Tully's Italian Roast, and I also like using my own Kcup for when I want a stronger cup of coffee.

I had the same problem with 2 different boxes of Panera K-cups. They plug up the machine and the water wouldn't go through the k-cup. What an annoying mess! I don't think they were ribbed. I loved the coffee, but I don't even want to think about buying them again.

@restlesspirit - if you do get some, try poking a hole in the top before putting it in the machine. That really helped with the cups I had trouble with.

I like anything Dark. I like my coffee strong, so anything dark works for me. I tend to buy Starbucks at Costco or Green Mountain brand, although anything dark and on sale has come home with me at one time or another.
I will suggest Charleston Chew hot cocoa though, it is hands down the best hot cocoa for the keurig and doesn't have sucralose or any other weird stuff in it. It is so good!

This is exactly why the Keurig works so well for us, dh works nights, I work days, he likes dark and strong, I like light and mellow

I've been enjoying the McCafe pods lately. Good coffee and the pods are 100% compostable.

If I'm using a k-cup instead of my french press I cheat. I like big cups of medium roast so I buy a dark roast and put it through two brews. I get a bigger cup of regular strength coffee this way.

Most days I have Caribou's Caribou blend, but we also have Tim Horton's Original blend and Original decaf around all the time so I have those sometimes too. I get them all through Amazon's subscribe and save. They just show up every month.
