Are you in the areas affected by the flooding? What's the status & prognosis for your area? Wishing you all well.

I was part of the Oroville dam flood scare last week. I got to go home last Tuesday but we are still under evacuation advisory so I left all my bags packed. So far there hasn't been any flooding very local to me thank goodness.

Our area which never floods, has had some flooding. Only a very few homes have been affected it's mostly street closures. The main road between our town and the next town over where DS lives is closed because of flooding. Many of our Arroyos are at peak capacity and, although it's terrifying, it is strangely fascinating to see. Unfortunately another big storm is expected this weekend and we're just about capacity at this point. We live pretty high up so we would never be in any danger of flooding but I feel for the people that are more at sea level.

we are just getting the leaks in the basement.. which we have tried to deal with over 30 yrs.. replacing all the stucco didn't work.. so will have to try again. the last storm only dropped 50% of what was predicted.. but it is bad as far as landslides, flooding, roads collasping (highway 50 over the sierras lost a chunk of road today).. and it is raining hard again..

SO CAL pea here. no flooding in my immediate area. i'm about 4 miles from the beach and on a hill so we are okay. the most prominant areas that flooded were inland in the areas of Duarte and Santa Clarita. lots of K-rails didn't hold so there was mud and debris everywhere. they are trying to clean up before the next round of rains.
for me, my lawn and planters are soaked. i don't think they can absorb anymore rain. moss is starting to grow where it's never grown before.

Parts of San Jose are flooding which almost never happens. Coyote Creek is overflowing into neighborhoods because of the rain and opening the spillway of the Anderson Reservoir. That neighborhood is only 2 blocks from my son's parkour studio but not near where I live.

Good thoughts for all the peas (and people) affected. I hope you get some relief soon.
