I wonder if there is a way to save our bookmarked threads over there? I mean..I have a TON saved. Everything from where to buy textbooks, to vacation recommendations, to recipes. I think I have 186 threads bookmarked!?

I'm going to clip mine to Evernote, too. And my bookmarked layouts are going to Pinterest.

Great ideas! I need to go see what I need to save... I'm going to miss some of the classic threads that are revisited every year.

I spent the afternoon going through 18 pages of bookmarks, saving some pages and cutting and pasting other information. Evernote would have been easier but I has a short time frame and wanted to get it done. It was sad; I joined 5-6 years ago and going through some older threads and seeing people I haven't seen in a while...
Sigh

I'm thinking we should start a recipes thread and copy and paste our faves here again. I'll start tomorrow if no one else beats me to it.

Oh lord, I'm thinking of all those wonderful multi-page threads of favorite soup, pumpkin, etc. recipes - what a loss that would be!

I am looking at my bookmarks and I have over 200 - some going back to 2004 - I obviously don't need most of them but it is just still sad. I am just copying stuff like crazy not knowing when everything will disappear. It is not going to be fun to try and sort through my files and I am only copying a few threads - I don't have the classics bookmarked - darn - I really hope someone has the good holiday ones marked and will copy them for us.

www.evernote.com I have it on my computer, as well as the app on my iPad. It allows me to save (Clip) anything from the internet and save to my account. I can sort things by creating notebooks for each interest/subject. Also using it now for articles, etc I find online. Much easier to find them later than using bookmarks in my browser. Be sure and download the Web Clipper for the browser you use. I have mine in the toolbar so it is super easy to use. Thanks! I'm going to go and check this out! When is the "final" day for 2 peas? Does anyone know?

Probably a VERY stupid question, but if we PIN layouts from the gallery, will they stay pinned when the site goes down completely?

They probably will go down when the site is deleated. Can you save it as a picture? that would save it to your computer, vs just a link to a site?

I don't have many bookmarked, so I'm just copying and pasting. There are things I don't want to forget--like wedding mints!

So will we lose the actual pin, or just the link? I am kind of hoping that the picture will still be there, although I might lose the original author in that case...

Probably a VERY stupid question, but if we PIN layouts from the gallery, will they stay pinned when the site goes down completely? From what someone mentioned over in the GS thread about it, that the photo will still be there but that the link would be broken. I have several pins (non 2peas) that the link doesn't lead anywhere anymore, but the picture is still there. I spent forever it seems pinning or re-pinning (if it was a GG I pinned it from their site, so the details of the layout/class I can still access) this past weekend. I just started using Evernote, so clipping things is brand new to me, I'll have to try that, thanks!

I'm pretty sure you are going to lose it all. There will be NO site. No 2PS to link it too. KWIM?

Pins will have the photo but the link will be broken.
I just tried - I searched Pinterest for layouts of mine people had pinned and chose one from a site that closed down a while ago. The photo of my layout is still on Pinterest but if you click on it to learn more (detail of product, link to store etc) you get 404 not found message.

When you pin a photo to Pintetest a copy of the photo is actually uploaded to their server so if the original photo/website gets deleted the photo is still on Pinterest,
