Now up to 68 ways to gain bonus points on a project! And any of those can be used multiple times! Plus, of course, the basic points for completing a project and the one time only bonus points.
Add 'em up, Ladies!

Add 'em up, Ladies! I didn't know we could use those multiple times! Like, use ribbon or washi or kraft cardstock? Those points can be added in every time we use those? I may need to adjust some points!

I may need to adjust some points! Yes!!! Bonus points can be used multiple times! Now if you use 10 stars on one page, that's just 1 point. But if you use a few stars on each of 10 pages, that's one point per page, or 10 points! The only restriction is you are not supposed to give yourself points for bonus rules that were added after you posted your project. So if you missed some points on a project you claimed yesterday for bonus points that were THERE yesterday, then that's okay to adjust. You just can't give yourself points for today's additions on yesterday's project. KWIM?

I haven't figured out any points yet. I did figure out the blinkie and I learned how to leave a comment on a layout, but I have only left one so far. I also learned that you do actually earn a half point for making a tag, so instead of grouping the 6 tags together and calling it a card, like I thought I would do, I can actually just get 3 pts. for making 6 tags. I found some stuff I forgot I owned. And I did make a few cards today. No actual scrapping yet, though.

Hey, if you are playing with your scrappy stuff, making cards, you are doing "actual" scrapping! Once you figure out the ropes, you will really be on a roll!

Being sick was the best thing for my CB production and totals!!!
I completed 1 page on the 1st and 16 yesterday. I'm at 17 pages for the 2 days!!! My goal for the month was 40 which was being lofty, but now I totally think I'll be able to pass it. Because my "real" goal is to just get as many pages completed as possible. I just thought 40 was going to be a stretch.

You are rockin' this game, LisaDV! I finished 2 double page LO's today, so managed to rack up a bunch more points. It has been good seeing so many peas over there. Hoping the weekend gives everyone a chance to play. There are now 88 ways to score bonus points!

Holy cow, LisaDV, you are on fire! I think I'm going to easily exceed my goal - I had no idea that there would be SO MANY bonus points! I did a very simple PL spread today with very minimal embellishment and still managed 7 points.

I think the bonus points number about 90 already. And I am actually using wood veneer and washi tape and enamel dots and a lot of other supplies that sometimes languish unused...

Just checked, and there are now 108 ways to get bonus points! I think I am going to whine to see if they will put in a ONE-TIME-ONLY chance to go back over your creations and add points for all the things that got added after you totalled your points!
I am halfway to my goal of 31 pages, and running out of creative steam. Might need to resort to cleaning up my scraproom to get a point next day I am home. One more "little boy" spread, and I will be ready to change gears anyway to cooking or hockey or skating, so that is a natural break to start putting [some] of the mess away.
Tomorrow I can claim a point for stocking up on essentials: will be picking up glue refills and page protectors.

I think I may have to drop out due to poor organizational skills. I've completely lost track of points. I wasn't playing for the big money anyway (ha!) so I'm not sure it matters much.
I'm still going to track my total number of layouts so I can try to beat it next year, but beyond that, forget it. When it gets to be too much work, it's not fun anymore.
I have been cranking out the layouts though, and that's the real fun!

Tonight I'm trying to figure out how the heck to resize my pics properly so I can post some of my cards in the gallery. I've always used Photobucket, but lately that site absolutely CRAWLS for me. And I have very little there, so it's not like I'm bogging it down or something.

I have been cranking out the layouts though, and that's the real fun! I just went through very quickly and added up the points for the 3 new LOs I finished today and it wasn't too bad. If you have many more projects than that, though, I can see it becoming very time consuming. I've already met my goal of 50 points. I had no idea there would be so many rules and ways to get points. I'm only at 5 LOs for the month, but I intend to keep going.

Tonight I'm trying to figure out how the heck to resize my pics properly so I can post some of my cards in the gallery. I've always used Photobucket, but lately that site absolutely CRAWLS for me. And I have very little there, so it's not like I'm bogging it down or something. I have found with Calvinball it works much better if I just upload directly from my computer to the CB Gallery. I take my photos with my iPhone, email them to myself, save them on the computer (I do that anyway, so no extra steps there) and then in the CB Gallery. I find that taking the pic's with my phone means they are sized small enough. When I tried with photos from my dslr, I had to resize every one. When you are in the Calvinball Gallery: 1) click on Upload. It's confusing at first, because the last entry in the Gallery appears. But there is a form line below it that you can either enter your file name or click on browse. 2) I click on browse, and find the photo I want. 3) click the upload button. 4) click the review & edit button (or some such wording) 5) fill in the form 6) click the button at the bottom. (finish? upload? whatever... it gives you a button to click on and your photo is in the Gallery. Good luck with this!

Thanks grammadee. Unfortunately my pics were all taken with my camera, so they're pretty huge files right now. But I can take them with a phone next time.

Do you have a photo editing program on your computer? When I was using my dslr, I used Photoshop to resize. Got confused trying to use pixels, but cropped and saved the pages as 12"x12" and they seemed to upload nicely. (The originals were something like 39x39!)

You could try using the website pic resize. No sign up or anything needed and pretty easy to use.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check them out. I have a few cards resized and ready to post. I have to go out for awhile, but I hope to post them tonight. I'm working on the points, now. Does anyone know if I can use all of the scrappy bonus points on cards instead of layouts?
Some rules say "If you do this or that on a page or layout", but I can still take those pts for cards, too, right? Thanks!

I was gone all day, and couldn't remember my password to log in from my phone. I think that the only difference in scoring a card and a LO is that for a card the base score is 0.5, and for a page it is 1.0 After that, count any of the bonus elements as one point each, no matter the size of your base.
