I just bought the Apple Airport Time Capsule and I want to back up my photos on there... I have them burned to discs already, but would like to have them on the Time Capsule... Apple might be user friendly, but my brain is not user friendly :/ I have some silly and/or stupid questions:
How can I tell what's on my Time Capsule? I used be to able to click on my external hard drive and peek around and see what was on there - I can't find where to do this for the Time Capsule, and if I can't see it - I don't believe it there...lol
How can I, or what's the simplest way to back up photos onto the Time Capsule?
If I erase photos (or an album or event), from iPhoto, will it erase from my Time Capsule too?
I suck at the whole Cloud/shared thing... I have this 3TB hard drive and my iPhone keeps telling me I am over capacity when I'm connected to the same network as the Time Machine...
Okay - that part was a rant, but if anyone has any tips, or links to sites/videos that break it down very simply, hook me up! Somehow I get myself more confused when I use Apple Support/forums... I'm a mess...lol

If you do that Time Machine won’t back up those files, and the space available for Time Machine backups is reduced. But if you do want to do that, here is a clear video on how to set up a new folder in Time Capsule to copy over iphoto - it looks pretty straightfoward and it's just a case of dragging and dropping want you want to move. You can then have your default iphoto library on Time Capsule (eg if you want to free up hard disk space on your mac). Or you can keep your default iphoto library on your mac and just use the Time Capsule folder as storage. If you do that, I assume you would need to periodically copy over a new version as it won't 'update' automatically. So if you delete a pic from iphoto, it would still be there in your Time Capsule storage. If you just want to use Time Capsule for backups then you'd set it up with Time Machine in the usual way and chose Time Capsule as your backup disk. If you're doing that, then I'd suggest backing up your photos to another location eg online storage (I use Dropbox) as old Time Capsule backups will gradually be replaced by newer ones over time. If you want to see what's on your Time Capsule, look for the icon in the finder and double click it. You will see your backup and any other folders you've created. To go into Time Machine (eg to restore something) just chose 'enter Time Machine' from the Time Machine menu. Here's an article about how to do that. I hope I understood your questions ok! Let me know if there's anything else ETA I don't think you can backup photos directly from your iphone to Time Capsule. You need to get them into iphoto first.
