Wow, is anyone else surprised at the prices of the new Bella Blvd collections? I like some of the papers and ephemera and stickers...but not at $2 for a sheet of paper (I know, foil accents. But other companies do this for less than $2. Plus, I like the "b" side!), $8 for puffy stickers, $6 for a 12x12 sheet of stickers, and $6 for cardstock die cuts. It's almost as pricey as Cocoa Vanilla...which I appreciate comes from Australia and will pay that if I really love the collection...but Bella B shouldn't be more than other US companies? PinkFresh Studios just released items that were price competitive (enamels shapes, puffy stickers)...and now I feel even more like supporting them in comparison.
What am I missing?

Eek!!! I still remember when a sheet of 12x12 paper when from $0.75 Canadian to $1.00. LOL, I actually probably still have some of that paper. I can't imagine how expensive that will make it in Canadian dollars. My LSS carries quite a bit of Bella Blvd so I am curious if this will have an impact on them carrying future lines. In any event, I am curious to see how much they will be up here. I have no problem paying $2-2.50 a sheet, but that is usually for specialty papers...imports from other countries, foiling, embossing, transparencies, etc. I would have to be much more selective if regular paper were that price.

Ouch! I get cocoa vanilla too-we Americans are "internationals" and get to see how our friends around the world feel on all other products. But IMO Bella is a little pretentious with the popularity of the illustrated faith line. I'm Christian and I can't seem to bring myself to buy any of their stuff.

I just checked out the paper prices...supposedly retail in Australian dollars in $3.25 PER sheet! HAHAHAHA! The shop I looked at always sells paper for %20 off and is selling it for $2.60 a sheet. Still...no! Again all prices in Australian dollars.

I'm with you impearia...our Canadian dollar is pretty much on par with yours. We might save a bit in shipping with the closer distance, but I can't imagine that it will be enough to make a noticeable difference. Those prices are frightening!!!

The price on the puffy alphas (EIGHT BUCKS) are ridiculous and if they are anywhere near the quality of the puffy stars and hearts, they are junk!! I emailed them 2 weeks ago about quality issues and asked them to make it right for me with the ones that were all messed up and they never bothered to respond. Very disappointed in them!!

I received my bella blvd puffy stickers order and their quality is really horrible. I can not remember how much I paid (may be around 3.75-4.00). I got their heart and star stickers. I would never buy their puffy stickers again because of quality issues. I did a quick google search and some of their puffy stickers are 7.39-8.00 online. That's absolutely crazy. I also bought some items from pinkfresh mix no. 1 and it is so much more value for the money. Their enamel shapes sheets are biggest sheets I have seen and I paid 4.94/pack of their enamel dots and shapes. Their gold foiled alphas, vellum alphas and big sheet of puffy stickers are pretty in person and quality is good too. SaveSave

I don't generally buy BB stuff anyway, but that lowers them in my eyes. Save

Phew! I thought maybe I had missed something that accounted for these prices.
The hearts/stars puffy stickers are $5 at most stores but I won't buy them based on the reviews I've seen here... it's the collection puffies that are $8 for a 6x10 sheet. Compare that to Fancy Pants puffy stickers that are 6x12 for 3.99...

I'm waiting for sb.com to have them as their daily special. I love the barnyard collection for older photos of my nephews who were obsessed with farms when they were babies

Bella Blvd has never been one of my favorites, but even if it was I sure wouldn't be paying that much. On another note, I was wondering why cocoa vanilla was so expensive. Another one I won't be buying

I don't know if matte is more expensive to produce and I prefer them too. This will seem weird, but I even like the SMELL of the matte puffies. They must cost more because I generally see a sheet of matte puffies, 3.25x 6.75 (AC specs) and they cost $3.00 but they do the shiny puffies in Thicker sets (so 6x12) for $5.00...my guess is matte cost more to make. I think they are higher quality. I still think $8.00 for a pack (even a big one) is too high. Save

Bella Blvd has never been one of my favorites, but even if it was I sure wouldn't be paying that much. On another note, I was wondering why cocoa vanilla was so expensive. Another one I won't be buying Cocoa Vanilla is an import. It is all Australian and a very select few companies in the states carry their products...shipping out of AU is insane (my husband received a couple of Christmas cards from friends there and it's $2.55 just to send a basic CARD with nothing inside) and the stores carrying them in the US have to absorb that cost into the listings. Most things imported from other first world countries cost more, that's why places like Cost Plus that specialize in imports that aren't just Chinese or Japanese made goods end up being pricey. ETA: And I'm the other way with BB, they aren't so much a favorite as they are becoming a company I've enjoyed purchasing from in the past couple of years. A page I made using some older stash for my 30 Days of Thankful albums last year is one of my favorites. The biggest reason why I'm enjoying their paper products and stickers (I truly hope these puffies are a one off mistake, but their lack of a response to my email causes them more harm in my eyes than having received a shoddy product because the quality of other things I own tells me this hasn't been normal for them) is because a lot of the colors coordinate beautifully with Elle's Studio and I'm finding that I enjoy scrapbooking the most when I'm putting my Elle's Studio stuff to good use. It's always nice to be able to bring in more things that marry well, even if it's a different brand.

Make Your Mark was the only collection I was excited about after CHA. Love the colours. I am waiting for it to arrive in the UK so I can order it to do a blog post for April 1st. I saw it was in at ACOT and wow, the prices! Usually things translate straight from dollars to UK pounds so I really hope those puffy stickers aren't gonna be £8! And the collection pack of paper is $30, 30 dollars!!! Who on earth is going to buy that? I am still looking forward to this collection, it honestly was the only one I liked this season but not looking forward to the prices

I went to a crop last weekend. They had the acrylic words from BB there. They were $5 for a set of two. The instructor said that everywhere else you will pay $8. She said that she told BB that people aren't going pay that amount and BB gave the store a special price. $8 is ridiculous.

If I had been drinking something when I saw the prices on the puffy alphas, I would have spit it out when I saw them. Elle's Studio is going to have a puffy alphabet this month on kit release day (the 10th) and I'm really nervous that she might use this as an example of what the market will bear. I really really really want to buy a set or two, but I will not pay $8 from even Elle for them. If they keep around $4.50 (what her puffies go for right now) or even up to $6.00 if they are on a larger sheet or double sided, I could maybe justify it since her business is much smaller than BB, but if it's $8 or even $7, I'll have to pass on them (which sucks because I love supporting her). Since Pinkfresh produces all of Elle's Studio's puffy stickers, I'm hoping that's not the case (puffy alphabets from Pinkfresh are about $5). I have my fingers crossed!

Wow, those prices are scary. I've loved BB since their debut, but their embellishment prices have always been on the high side (felt bows anyone?).

I looked once at the puffy alphabet,I saw the $8 price and was incredulous. No way in heaven will I pay that amount. I will start using my alphabet dies if the other companies follow suit.

I just used the puffy stars on a layout and they stick really well. Love them I have them in stock at my store (for Aussie girls) and no, I am not charging $13 a pack for them.

I was interested in their Make Your Mark collection and couldn't believe the prices. $15 for a clear cuts booklet and I think $10 for the 6x8 paper pad. Does the gold in them really increase the price that much?

Felicity Jane is charging $8-9 for their alphas. I don't but from there because that's crazy expensive. I know they are exclusive and all that but I can get similar alphas for $2.

I think the prices mentioned here are way too high. I can always find other embellishments to match, or use black or white. I like mixing lines anyway. Those prices are crazy. Some things are showing up in Tuesday morning after 6 months, not Bella Blvd, but a lot of AC and others. I can wait. They are no scrapbook stores here any more and I don't like to add shipping on top of the price, too. I have to wait for an expo or CKC to see new things in person now anyway, so I've learned that I don't need to buy anything urgently, plus I have so much still new not used yet which is less than 2 years old and I am still excited about using.

I've never cared much for Bella Blvd so I've never purchased any. I say that because reading this thread I realized I had no idea how much their stuff would normally cost. So I popped over to ACOT and took a look at the pricing on the new collections. Wow!!! The papers aren't bad but the embellishments are entirely too expensive. I bet a lot of shops will wind up clearancing them out which is a shame for the retailer.

After seeing this thread, just checked prices in New Zealand and let's just say I won't be buying any Bella Blvd any time soon. NZ$32 for the Barnyard 12x12 collection, NZ$16 for puffy stickers (yes, you read that right), and NZ$10 for die cuts. That converts to US$11.25 for the puffy stickers

I noticed the BB prices when I threw those adorable puffy stickers in my cart without checking the prices! And their stickers are $6! I thought they were chipboard! I won't be paying those kinds of prices!! I didn't notice because their paper is still $1. Yikes!!!
