Layout with oxide inksHere is a process video by Alicia JinHee showing how to use them as a background on a layout. I was totally sold after I saw this because the colors are so vivid! I don't stamp so I probably wouldn't have even considered buying them if I just saw them on a shelf. Now I think I need to buy several, if not all. These YouTube process videos are costing me a small fortune! LOVE that background she made with the inks!

Oh, you bad enabler! Now you have forced me to look and now I've pulled the trigger on these inks. I got 10 of them. I just can't scrap purple so I didn't get it or the walnut. If you are looking for them in stock I purchased mine at Scrapbook.com and they have them on sale and with free shipping on an order over $60 with code FREESHIP327.

I am SO sad I pre-ordered mine from ACOT. They ran out of their pre-orders and now have a bunch of us waiting until they get more in. I could have gotten them from somewhere else had I known they didn't order enough for their pre-orders. So sad. I want to play!

Scrapbook.com has them in stock right now. Can you cancel your ACOT order? That is what I wanted to do but couldn't see that I could cancel it. I am going to look again. Their customer service is really good if you call them. I would think they will cancel it for you since they didn't deliver as promised. Luckily, mine shipped a few days ago. I preordered in January, and they were to be available in February. After watching Jennifer McGuire's video, I think a lot of people got more excited about these. I can't wait to get mine. I have a feeling I'm going to want all of them...

Okay, so I did cancel my order with ACOT as they told me it would be the end of the month before they get them. Oh dear! So, they are now on the way from scrapbook.com.

I "had" to order the set of Oxide Distress ink pads. The smoother blending and stamping on dark papers sold them to me.
Scrapbook.com has a good price on the set of them. You can also use code craftydeal to receive 10% off. This coupon code is at the top of the scrapbook.com web page.

I really want them but I'm trying to talk myself out of it. I have so many mists and paints and things I can create backgrounds with, I really don't need these.
But holy heck, I really want them!!!

I got six of these, mostly the colours I was drawn to with the return of spring and summer. The blue-green side of the spectrum shades especially stand out to me. Cracked Pistachio and Broken China are obvious hits but Faded Jeans is the unsung hero of the oxidised look as far as I'm concerned. A beautiful soft yet still intense ink blue that cuts through the other shades that are more mellow in this line. TH has a hit on his hands and I hope Ranger follows the money trail (which it clearly is since so many retailers are sold out for the popular colours). The rest of the Distress inks deserve the Oxide finish. These will make anyone who likes to create dreamy backgrounds very happy. I haven't had this much fun and felt so inspired with inks in quite a while. ETA: here's a process video for a background using Oxide and texture paste.

Most places I've seen are sold out taking back orders that ship as late as 3/31. He's going out with a bang!

I got my ACOT order and played with them a bit. They're creamy yet vibrant, and really nice to use. They blend and stamp beautifully. I can see using these even more than regular Distress Ink. I decided to order the rest of the colors with the Scrapbook.com deal.
