That's what I am!
I have one of those metal stands that displays scrapbook pages on a side table in my living room. It holds about 10 pages that you flip over. Anyway, my DS (29) was looking at it and asked me to make one for his condo. He says he doesn't have any family photos at his place and he likes this idea.
He was over tonight to visit and watch a movie. I told him I found the same stand on amazon and ordered it so I hoped he was still wanting it. He went on to tell me his ideas and he wants to come over and spend some time picking out the photos. He even suggested he could help me with the layouts! He also thought the first page could be like the cover of a story book.. like the story of our family! I almost cried! I could not believe that my party boy son was spending time planning a scrapbook project!!
I can't wait to get started on this project for him. He told me that I have some "serious scrapbooking skills and so I might as well use them" LOL.
My scrap stash has been completely validated!

Wow!!!!! That is awesome. Be sure and take pics of the process so you can make a layout telling this story.

Wow, what an awesome story! Can you link us up with this product? I don't think I know what a metal stand for scrapbooking pages is.

That's so wonderful! I'm just full of emotion for you reading this. Best possible thing a scrapbooker's son could do/say.

That's so wonderful! I'm just full of emotion for you reading this. Best possible thing a scrapbooker's son could do/say. It really is! There's no feeling like knowing that what you do is wanted and appreciated by the people who matter the most.

They used to have those stands at Michael's some years back. I am not sure if they still carried them. I bought some in 8x8 to make my grandparent's a 70th anniversary album. I made my mom one too.

Thanks for all the lovely comments and sharing in my joy! purplebee I feel like a terrible scrapbooker! I didn't even think about recording this process. I will start journaling notes right now! LisaDV looks like @elaynef posted a link...thank your for that! It's a good thing too because I am tech challenged! LOL @duelmaestra I got mine at Michaels too but couldn't find one in the two stores closest to me so I went to amazon. I couldn't sleep last night trying to come up with an idea for his storybook title page. Something might start taking shape....at least in my head. Off to Pinterest to look for ideas!

I have one of these that justjac picked up for me at the LSS. I use it to display the originals of my family calendar pages. I make copies of them for a coil bound 12x12" calendar for each of the "kids" as a Christmas gift each year, but I display the originals and flip each month.

That is great! It will be a treasure to spend time with your ds. It is truly wonderful when the kidlets grow up and acknowledge the legacy you are leaving the family1

That is so awesome! It's great he's interested and that stand is super cute! I totally want one but it's £29 on Amazon over here in the UK dammit! I might put it on my xmas list though and try and be patient I don't know if these are any good for a title page for you? A grid with photos and the title? OMG, sorry they're so massive! I can't remember how to make them smaller either... dammit!
