I am finally getting my supplies out of the garage and into my new room. What a slow process! In doing this I am organizing and finding I have some duplicates of dies and stamps. I started making a list that I am going to put on a spreadsheet, but was wondering if there was a way to do this in an app or some way that I can share between home and my phone so I don't buy duplicates anymore.

I use an app on my iPhone and iPad called Sortly. It's a home inventory app. There is a free version that lets you record 200 items. The paid version is unlimited. It's a bit pricey though - $8 if I recall. However, that said, it is one of the few apps I've ever updated from free to paid. I love it. I started using it to inventory my nail polish. You can set up your own categories and subcategories. You can subcategorize multiple times. I have everything in Collections. I can then chose Nail Polish --> ILNP --> Holographic and find exactly what I'm looking for. It still gives the option even that far down to add more sub categories. It also lets you include pictures, prices, links, quantities, notes, and (my favorite) tags. So I have everything tagged by color, finish, opacity, etc.
I started out with nail polish and am slowly adding scrappy supplies. I have started with roller stamps. I found over a half dozen I've purchased twice. This was the catalyst to starting my scrappy inventory. I'm going to do Basic Grey collections and punches next. It syncs very quickly between my devices.
This is the most I've ever paid for an app. It is also totally worth it. I can pull it out in a store and easily check if I have that stamp. It's saved me money on more than one occasion already.

I use the AnyList app. Sounds about the same as the app that lilacgal mentioned. I use it for my distress inks. I track the ones I have and the colors I want. Same with my lawn fawn stamps and dies. I have a few dups myself. This has helped. I also use it for shopping lists and recipes. I can have it add items from a recipe straight to my shopping list.

Years ago there was an app (or maybe it was just a website) that let you check off items you owned to keep track of stashes. It was scrapbook specific. But it was so many years ago I'm sure it's long gone or obsolete (I googled..it was called scrappypedia and was a website...looks like 2012 and I thought it was longer ago than that!)

I have heard a lot of people using Evernote for their stash. I believe it has a really good search function. And it is free.

I use the free version of Evernote. I include a 'note' for each stamp set and die and enter sentiments as tags so I can search for particular key words. I include a picture of the set/die as well. You can also link notes which is good for related products eg stamp set with coordinating die.

You can also link notes which is good for related products eg stamp set with coordinating die. Another free version of Evernote user here. I just started using it over the Christmas break. My "notebooks" are BACKGROUND STAMPS, DIES, EMBOSSING FOLDERS, INKS, STAMPS and STENCILS. I took photos of all the items and whenever I had a free moment I added them to the appropriate notebook and tagged all the items. The search function works great. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. Now when I get a new stamp or whatever, I take a photo and set it up and tag it. The program is very easy and intuitive on how to use it. The only issue I ran into was that the free version only allows 60MB of input per month. So I had to take a break from it when I hit the 60MB mark. But as soon as the next month started I finished it up. (the month ticker starts when you download the app) I should mention that I'm a big user of MS OneNote (on my laptop, not an app) for other things. But the free app version of Evernote is so much better than the free app version of OneNote. ETA: My next notebook will be for PENS & MARKERS.
