I just bought a Fiskar's Jenni Label punch on eBay for $10.99 and it doesn't work. This was my first eBay buy and I am not a happy camper. I really wanted the punch because it's no longer sold. Any tips for getting my money back on this?

With eBay, the procedure is to talk to the seller and say you want a refund. If they give you any trouble at all, contact eBay. You will get your money back one way or another.
Sorry that happened 🙁

Thank you. Does it matter that I used Guest checkout instead of my account name. I had forgotten my password and when I saw guest checkout, I just used that.

Ditto the above.
Is it stuck? I had a punch do that to me once. Took a hammer to it. I put a board between the hammer and the punch abd hit it dead center. It now happily punches.

What seems to be the problem with it? I bought a punch off ebay that I'd been looking for forever. Got it for a steal. It came and the punch stuck on the first punch. Boo. Dropped it from a small height to get it unstuck. I then used wax paper a few punches and then used tinfoil. It worked like a charm! I have a feeling the seller new it was somewhat defective when selling but didn't disclose it. I made sure to mention on feedback that it now works like a charm. LOL!

If you can't or don't want to fix it, I second the suggestion to inform the seller that the punch does not work and you would like a refund. If they try to insist you pay the shipping, start a claim with ebay/paypal. Sellers need to disclose defects and if they didn't, then you did not receive the item as described and ebay will side with you and return your payment and shipping. The seller will need to provide you a postage paid label for the return. Some sellers will cut their loss and just tell you to keep it, but it's seller's choice once they are required to issue the refund.
This is true even if the auction stated no returns because selling a defective item is not covered by the no-returns policy.

I definitely would contact the seller even if they say "No returns accepted." I have my account marked that way and it's because I don't want people treating my auctions like the local dept. store, returning things willy-nilly due to buyer's remorse, or changing their mind, etc. I definitely would work with a buyer if my item was defective. Was it still in the package or was it a used item? I'd be a lot more understanding of the seller if it was something they hadn't even opened. But if it was a used item, they really should have checked that it was working properly before listing it and then packaged it in such a way that it could survive any abuse the box might take between them and you. I'm sorry it didn't work. That alone is a bummer and then the added hassle of having to get a refund is just rubbing salt in the wound.
