Right now i have two file boxes, and my kits and paper just flop over. I can store cardstock flat or whatever, bc i can see the color from the edge, but for the paper, i want to be able to see the pattern, and for the kits, i store them in plastic bags--that keep flopping over. It's driving me crazy. I am thinking of getting the rollng Cropper Hopper from Joann's with hanging file folders. thoughts? does anyone store kits and/or pp in these?

I have seen some people hang up their kits, either on those racks that were popular a few years ago or on a peg board or hanging line. What kits and paper I still have, i store them in these. They are slightly slanted so it is easy to flip through it, and they are not so wide that things got lost in them. They are also tall, so the papers don't flop out. plastic binsI also store projects (kits and pictures and embellishments) together in those ArtBin Satchel cases that are about 13x13. You can't see what is underneath, but I know that everything in there is for one project.

I use plastic milk crate type totes. The packages are a little taller, but they stand upright.

I like the fact that these are cheap!! thank you.

i used to have 12x12 sturdy, stiff 'sleeves' to store projects in--there was a pocket in the front and room for one project in the 12x12 area--they were meant to stand up in a box and I would make page kits for them. Can't remember what they are called, or find them anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what i mean?

I use plastic folders for mine, each one holds a fairly thick kit pretty comfortably and keeps my paper flat. They're stiffer than plastic bags, so they'll stand on their own, and they keep me from crinkling my papers while I'm looking and deciding. I use a couple different kinds, including the ones you ( mamakoala ) used to use. I tend to like the ones without extra pockets the best, though. Most of mine are by Cropper Hopper, they were the stiffest and hold up the best, but I've got a few other brands mixed in. The biggest thing is checking the dimensions before you buy them. Some of the new ones are too small for more then 3-4 sheets of paper, or the paper sticks out the top because they're too short. Folders
ETA: Posting at the same time as you, so we overlapped. But scrapbook.com says Cropper Hopper is now Storage Solutions. That might help you find them. I had hanging folders for a while and hated them, but these pockets fit in anything, so you can change storage methods and they'll still work.

If I just throw one or two kits in it, they would slide down. They do have the smaller sized one if you have thinner kits.

I have the IKEA open storage bookcases that are 13 inches tall and they are separate spots. I then have a bunch of tall magazine holders that I store kits in plus metal baskets I got from the container store. I'm a bit of a hoarder of kits!

I just use plastic bags or sturdier zip top bags for mine because of limited shelf space. I put some sturdy card stick in the back so they don't fall over.

I stand my cs and pp upright in large drawers, and to keep the pages upright, I have done a couple of different things:
1. I purchased a large foam poster board from an office supply store, and put inserts into the drawers every so often to keep them from sliding down.
1. I have inserted heavy cb sheets into the bag with the papers, to keep them flat.

Thank you! i found the ones i want on blitzy and ordered 6 packs of 3, so plenty of room to store my current kits and create my own. I have a crop coming up in a couple of months and I want to be prepared!! Thanks!

I was JUST at the dollar store and almost bought posterboard (was thinking of using it for our next anti-Trump protest LOL) but I will go back this week and get some. Great idea for floppy paper in 12x12 ziplocs!!!

In my craft room( its an old kitchenette with cabinets) everything(well, most everything..lol) goes on my shelves but when I make page kits I have those Iris containers for that. I have 3 of them for page kits and then I house all my fall/Christmas in another one. I have baskets of embellies on the counter space, but recently had to move my washi basket because my dog found it... ._.

Got my cropper hopper paper kit storage thingies this morning, and made 18 kits today!!! Some were just from old Scrap Room and SG kits that either had parts used or weren't used at all, some were made from my stash, but (most importantly) i matched photos with them so I am ready to go and can just grab a kit and scrap. Pulling out all my PP and stuff made me SO TIRED. And of course i had to do it all in the living room so I could spread out, and I wanted to tidy before DH got home from work and before the dogs decided to lay down in a pile of paper. Or a cat LOL.
anyway, mission accomplished---and the folders don't FLOP OVER! yay! I need to swing by dollar store tomorrow and get foam board for the other bags that are just ziplocs, but the sturdier holders make a big difference.
