I really want to buy something to use at home. I'd love a treadmill but the ones I've seen are too large. Same with the ellipticals. So I'm thinking maybe a stationary bike? Or is there such a thing as a small elliptical that isn't a piece of junk? I'd love not to spend a fortune, although I know I can't just buy the cheapest one from Sports Authority because it will be junk.
Those of you who have something at home, if you love it what do you have?
I'm heading off this morning to re-up my membership at our local community center. But as close as it is to my house I know that in the winter I'll be reluctant sometimes to drag myself there. I'm thinking that if I have a bike/elliptical/whatever here at home at least I can watch TV while I'm using it. (this is for our basement).
Thanks for any recommendations.

We just upgraded, but our previous elliptical was a space saver by ProForm. It didn't take up any more space than a recliner when folded and it was fantastic quality.

i've honestly given up on doing anything inside my house. i've been LOVING walking around the neighborhood - the other day i did 4.6 miles and i want to push myself to do more. i'm not sure what's going to happen when winter comes... we have a stationary bike that i haven't tried yet.
if you have a gaming console in your house, you might also consider dancing games or other workout games?

I actually have a bicycle trainer for my regular bike. I love that. I keep it down in hubby's 3-car garage. When the weather is bad, I just open his large door, face my bike towards the woods, and enjoy the birds, and scenery without leaving the house. I also have my free weight set that I love. I do a lot of that and cardio at home. I used to be a certified instructor so exercising by myself at home at 7 a.m. is my favorite way to exercise! I have had other machines but got rid of them all when we moved. I don't feel the need to have them again. They take up too much room even though we have the room for it.
