What do you use your machine for most?
I am a newbie so I'm still in the learning phase and have only been cutting items I have traced. I plan to cut my own stencils, as well as titles and overlays for SBing. I haven't even considered cutting vinyl, which got me to thinking if others don't use their machines to their full potential either.
So what is your favorite use for your Cameo or Cricket or other similar type machine?

That's a good question. I don't use mine as often as I'd like. I find I use it most for Project Life or school. I seem to pull it out every year when we have to make our Catholic Schools Week banners.
For PL, I like to make the weekly numbers. I haven't even started 2017 yet but I think I'll be doing that again. I tend to flip flop years of doing that. I also like to make cards sometimes. I haven't done that in a while though since I seem to own so many other PL cards.
Hmmm...I feel like my ultimate answer is going to end up being I don't use it enough!

I don't use it as much as I could but I do use it regularly. I cut titles most often but also cut embellishments. Sometimes I look through the shapes in the design store and recreate them myself. I don't do mixed media but I would like to try cutting a stencil to see if I can try something out. I've never cut vinyl or anything else besides cardstock and patterned paper.

Print&Cut. I enjoy designing things such as invitations and cards.
Vinyl. I use it to cut stencils for painting wood signs, and also just putting vinyl on things - is any surface safe? LOL
I use the software more than the cutter. You can do a lot with it and print with your own printer.

I'm sure I'm not using mine to full potential, but I use it almost every time I craft for:
- cutting titles - making embellishments - print and cut, including stickers - sketched backgrounds/titles - making cards - cutting out stamped images instead of fussy cutting or using dies

While I don't use mine to its full potential I do put it to good use: scrapbooking titles and embellies, invites, print and cuts, HTV for clothing, vinyl for signs and etching, etc. I haven't yet used the pen/marker holder but its time will come! I've been using a silhouette cutter for 9-10 years and have led to many others purchasing them after they've seen me using it at crops...and my workplace has bought 2 machines too!

I use it for vinyl, for card making, and for scrapbooking. I may use it to cut fabric at some point, but I haven't gotten around to that. I have done a print & cut once or twice, but that really isn't my thing.

I've only had an older machine up until now, so I have mainly used it for cutting titles and shapes. I work in child care, so it also gets used a fair bit for craft for the kids, as well as decorations for our walls and for various celebrations at the center. I am getting a new Cameo this week, and I've been exploring youtube in anticipation. I hope to get to play with more fun ideas now, like print and cuts and the larger size for backgrounds and overlays.

After seeing Amayalylac's post, I realized that I should have added nail stencils. I don't do them often, but it is one of the fun things my DD and I do.
I also love to cut 3D boxes, bags, and various treat holders.
Paper piecing is another way I have frequently used my cutter, although not recently.
I sometimes create cut outs for stamps that I have traced with my software, so I can stamp directly on the cut out with the clear stamps and not have to cut them out by hand. I hope that makes sense.
One of the things I have not done but want to do is make a paper house village.
Other home decor items are also on my to do list.

I love 3D and dimensional things so I've made a lot of cards from purchased files. I've also made several sets of table favors for lunches with friends. I expect to use it for titles for scrapbooking. I don't anticipate I will do very much with vinyl - but I have some and I might try it at some point. So far I like looking for new ways to made box, shadow box, pop-up, bendy cards!

Mostly titles, a few embellishments and a few months ago I used it in a pinch to make my own Air Force decorations for my Sons going away party. I do love using my cameo, but don't seem to use it nearly enough cause I'm a lazy scrapbooker!

I use my Cameo for every single project. From die cuts to print and cuts to designing my layouts in the software. Since I started designing my layouts in the software, I find I actually use it more for making my own embellishments. You can get the perfect colour, in the perfect size every time! I'd be lost without my Cameo!

I have the Portrait, not the Cameo but I use it for vinyl, die cuts and titles.I have also used it for print and cut. I don't use it as often as I should. My 12 y/o son loves to trace images from the internet (tardis anyone? and cut them in vinyl for his room and notebooks.. I wanted the Cameo for the size, but I couldn't justify the expense so the Portrait is great for me. The only thing I am missing out on is being able to make 12x12 backgrounds but in all actuality, I probably wouldn't even do those very often The possibilities are endless and it's a lot of fun! I really love mine

I received the Cameo Portrait ( 8 x 12 ) for Christmas. There are still so many things I've yet to learn how to do with it. I'm so nervous that I will do something to break it that I don't use it as often as I should. So far all I've cut with it are files I've bought from the Silhouette store. I'm still trying to figure out the blade settings for different types of papers.

I am so happy to tell you I love my cameo you can buy cut files from their store or other stores you can use pretty mucch any clip art out their :)tons of free clipart :)you can do any fonts... tons of freebies you can use coloring pages.. when you resize anything it does it in exact dimension I shrunk a coloring page strawberry shortcake to stamp size you can also scan in the images of your rubber stamps & can cut them if you have any pattern for stuff like a paper piecing patterns or other patterns. there are millions digi rubber stamps... you can use them..same with digi scrapbook stuff... :)you can also do print a cut.. they sell in their store but you can make your own.... you have to put printer in your cameo window...it marks the places... print the image on your printer & then cut it in your cameo you can also engrave ...you can cut fabric...you can cut glass...vinyl..etc our finances are tight & I love that there are millions of free clip art & colorring pages & digi stamps etc.. I can also take an image I find online & save to my computer & I can add it to my cameo

I keep forgetting embellishments. I make a lot of embellishments with my Cameo. I did remember another Cameo love. I love to make planner clips.

I forgot about flowers! I love to make flowers on my Cameo. I was thinking of this thread tonight. I was at WalMart tonight and right on the shelf in the crafting aisle is a Silhouette Cameo 3! WalMart is selling Cameo's now. Who would have thought it.

You will love the Cameo!!! I had a CraftRobo and while it was ok, the Cameo is so much easier. You can also use all those cut files you already have, I haven't bought a single file yet other than to use up the GC that came with my Cameo. I hit up the 1/2 price sale at the Silhouette store.
