I've been using Apple at home since the late 80's. My SO likes PC because he likes to tinker with the machines. At work, I use a PC. I am a heavy Excel user at work and I do find that I prefer using Excel on a PC because I am use to the keystrokes and shortcuts on a PC. When I try to use Excel on my Mac I get frustrated because I am so used to the PC. I just found out that I can plug my windows keyboard into my MacBook Pro and use some of the windows keystrokes on excel for Mac 2011. I'll never go back to a PC. I have a MacBook Pro from 2011 still going strong and no viruses. Who can say that about their windows laptop that goes in the internet regularly. I've had windows pcs since 2000 and always connected to the internet (sometimes 24/7). I've never had a virus that I knew of.

I have both, an older Windows desktop computer and an Apple laptop. I have to use the Windows computer for work. Well, I did until I finally got smart and installed Parallels so that I can run both the standard Mac platform and a Windows environment on my laptop. I can run them at the same time if I need to and it is so handy. I do usually end up moving the job to the Windows desktop for final review because the screen is so much bigger and I can catch all of the anomalies that did not show up on the smaller screen. I would recommend doing this for anyone who was unsure about whether they would still need to run something in Windows. It is the best of both worlds, and so far, I haven't had any issues doing this.

Windows. I've always thought Apple products were over priced and overrated. Either DH or I have always had applications for our work that would not work on Mac's anyway. My most recent laptop I've had for 2 1/2 years has a touchscreen and I would never have another laptop without that feature. I don't think Macs even have a touchscreen option.

It was Microsoft until about 3 months ago then I finally went over to the dark side. exactly when i crossed over too. DH has all things apple and i have the Ipad and Iphone. i just resisted on the computer because i have a PC at work and didn't want to hassle with learning the MAC. still a bit of a learning curve but i'm happy with it. i much prefer the file management system for Windows but i'll just continue to get more comfortable with the Mac's file system.

Mine is HP. I have no idea if that means it's Windows, MAC or neither. I am clueless when it comes to anything tech related!

That's a hard poll to answer. My PCs have always been Windows/Microsoft mainly because we started out years ago building our own. A few years ago my daughter bought an iPad and then convinced me to get one. All I ever use is my iPad any more. I only turn on my PC when I am forced to. Then daughter bought a Mac laptop and I have used it. I have been converted, my next laptop will be a Mac. There is no comparison between the two systems. I love the Apple products.

Being a long time Pea and a long time (80's) Mac gal it makes me smile to see how many of you have switched to a Mac. I remember I'd post something about a Mac and the kinda rude comments I'd get from some people.

I am an Apple and my DH is PC. My first Apple was in 1988. 2GS. I have to use a PC at work as do all the students at my school.

Really, this absurd belief that Macs are impervious to viruses is too much. My friend's Mac was so riddled with a virus(es) it barely functioned.

I use both for work but prefer the Mac. DH has a PC for work in his office. Other than that we have four iPads, and old 1st gen iPod and two iPhones.

Windows. I think that Macs are overpriced.

I use Windows at work and Windows at home. I’m not against Apple Mac but I am happy with my PC and don’t see any reason to change. I don’t really want to have to learn a whole lot of short cut codes either. I was thinking about converting to Mac the last time I upgraded my computer but my brother bought me my last computer and it was a PC – you can’t look a gift horse in the mouth! Also, he doesn’t know anything about Macs and seeing that he is my go-to man for any problems or questions, I’m happy to stick with PC. Another reason I don’t want to change to a Mac is software. I would have to buy new Photoshop and a few other programs. I just can’t afford that. DD has an iMac that I bought her for her 18th birthday. She chose that over a Windows laptop. My aunty is a strong Mac convert. She loves the saying “Once you go Mac you’ll never go back” (she is a web designer) and even bought the t-shirt!
