My key ring is getting a bit crowded and heavy, but I’m sure there are people who have even more than I do attached to their key ring. I have the following: Car remote Car key Front door key Front security door key Unknown key? Padlock key which I think is for the shed at work’s beach house Gym entry tag for normal hours Gym entry tag for after hours Garage door opener Security tag for work Desk drawer key I used to have a couple of cute trinkets on my key ring that DS bought me from the Mother's Day stall at school when he was little, but I had to remove them because it was just getting ridiculous the amount of crap on my key ring! (I blanked out the key edges in the photo because I read somewhere recently - was it here? - that people can make copies of keys from photos. I wonder if that's true? I guess it could be possible with a 3D printer.)

Thanks for making me clean off my key ring tonight. I did have: - car key
- front door key
- garage door key (door from back yard into the garage)
- a Master lock padlock key (will stay there until I figure out what lock it belongs to
) - scrapbook store reward tag (store closed 3+ years ago)
- Lakeshore Learning discount tag (from when I homeschooled DD 9 years ago
) - grocery store reward tag (for a store I rarely frequent unless wine is on sale
) - my library card tag
- DH library card tag (so I can pick up his reserved books)
ETA I should do DH's key ring. His weighs about 10 pounds and I love (not) when we are out somewhere and he asks if he can throw it in my purse. I'm sure he has keys to control rooms in highrise buildings from Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego going back 20 years on that ring.

I have my car key fob--the metal ring broke off, so I had to use jewellery beading wire. A few strands was all that would fit, so I braided them and made a loop. My house key My PO box key My Coach red leather tassel key chain--got it at TJ Maxx at Christmas and love it. It's two long tassels and makes my keys easy to find and decorates my bag. I use a carabiner with a little built-in flashlight to keep everything together. I think I got it at Auto Zone several years ago. Still going strong. My car key is on a separate tiny carabiner because I don't always need it. I also have a tiny REI compass--It reminds me of my dad I added one of those little screwdriver/bottle opener multi-tools after I bought a soft drink in a glass bottle at a convenience store and drove off before I realized that the lid didn't screw or pop off.

I've been waiting ages for you to finally post a photo of your keys so I can come over when you are all out.... and pat the dog. Now you've spoiled all my plans.

Our handyman has a key carbuncle or growth. No other word for it. (you couldn't possibly count the rings, straps and so forth attached to it) which is about 6 by 6 inches. He has keys to a number of houses he services the pools for. He pulls that thing out of the very largest pocket on his photographer type utility jacket and unerringly inserts the right key. He rips the jacket about once a week, but nope, he still has to have everything in one bunch. It is absolutely horrifying.
He has an older car, no button start, and I am sure the wear and tear on his ignition hole must be horrendous! He must have permanent damage on his knee where the lump hits him as he turns corners, but the lump is his thing.

A car fob, front door key, work key, a heavy silver duck that the kids used to gum as infants, my gym membership mini-card.
I also have three keys that I've never used and I've frankly never thought about until I saw your OP. I have no idea what they're for - they've always just been there and I've never thought to question it 'til now.
Huh.

If there is a prize for the most keys I won't be winning it!
Two house keys, the car key and a token for the supermarket trolley. That's it.

I keep the car key (electronic) in the bottom of my purse, and I keep the church key where the Girl Scouts meet tucked in my Girl Scout stuff. Oh, and a spare house key is hidden. My work office key is attached to my badge that gets me into the building/work area. Somewhere - and I would probably need to search old purses for this - I have a key ring with old keys on it. That one has the key to my parent's house, and a bunch of old keys. I guess I have a few more keys than I realized, but they are all strategically placed rather than on an actual keyring. The office key is the only one I regularly use as my car key just has to be in the car for it to start, and my house has a keypad.

I literally have three keys on it. Two to the house, one to the car.
No fancy key ring or anything.

I think one of my girls would win this contest. Her key ring is ridiculous!! It literally hurts my hand to carry it (say if we are shopping and she is trying on clothes). I used to carry a lot but I love a light key ring now. We have 6 cars so basically we keep a key ring with a house key for each car. Makes it so much easier. For my personal key ring for my car, I also have a TINY flashlight in pink of course. Otherwise, that's it. Love it that way.

He has an older car, no button start, and I am sure the wear and tear on his ignition hole must be horrendous! He must have permanent damage on his knee where the lump hits him as he turns corners, but the lump is his thing. My ex had such a ridiculously heavy key ring with not only all his personal keys but every single key for everything at work on it. It eventually damaged the ignition in his Ford Explorer so badly that sometimes when you pulled the key out of the car, the whole ignition mechanism pulled out with it! I carry as little as possible - car key (fob is built into it), house key, and little beaded elephant from a trip to Zimbabwe. I keep other keys as well based on their use. A ring with three keys needed for work is in a pocket of my handbag. A lanyard with a car key and my gym membership tag is in the console of the car. The key to my mama's house is in my handbag as well.

My key ring was getting too heavy and too hard to find a key when I needed it, so I have taken everything off except my house key, my car key and the fob for my car starter. There is also a pewter letter R.
I keep the rest of my keys on various rings in my car.
Those include keys for: our camp My parents' house my friend's house my brother's house my mailbox key 3 work keys
