There are 186,850 watching now. I wonder how many will be watching during the actual birth? I wonder what is the highest number of viewers they've had at once? The highest I've ever actually seen was around 250,000 but I would bet it's been higher than that. I told dd a couple of weeks ago that if I ever check in and see a crazy big number, I'll know it's happening. That was before I signed up for the texts though, so hopefully that won't be the way I find out it's go time! I really think I'm probably going to cry when that baby finally gets here. Pretty sure that makes me a crazy giraffe lady, lol! |

I watched a video of a different giraffe giving birth and she kind of walked it out, so to speak. If that's what April does, we should at least see part of the birth. |

I almost wish they forced her outside to walk around. If she were out on the Savannah she wouldn't be able to just stand still for so long. That baby would have been walked been walked out by now.  |

I think they've said they will have somebody on the ground recording once it starts. I'm not sure if that will replace the live view we've been watching or it's something they will put up later somewhere, but either way at least we'll get to see it! |
