I was pondering this when putting the Bash it kit challenge together and I am just curious. What color(s) do you find especially hard to work with? Not that you just don't like but actually stumps you or you avoid if you can?
Why? Lack of product? Clashes with photos? Other?

For me it is PURPLE. I like the color but due to the lack of materials/product I have not had much experience I guess creating with it so it sort of makes me feel out of sorts. Is that super silly?

Orange. I don't mind it in fall/Halloween layouts, but it's my least favorite color.

I find purple the same crystalb, I love purple as a colour but I just can never seem to get it to work on for me on a layout. The darker the shade such as violets and eggplants are easier but once you start getting into lavenders and mauves that is where I struggle the most, and yes there is less products and releases with purple but I do not think that the lack of the colour is my problem I just find it hard to work with.

I don't really have trouble with any colors but I usually don't use white and if I do it is used for a journalling box or something.

Purple. I'm not really drawn to it as a color anyway but it never tends to match my photos and it isn't present in lots of products so it's hard to get it to blend in.

purple with pink a close second - I'm not overfond of pink in general but I'm drawn to purples (paper/cardstock) but they rarely seem to work well with my photos.
[purple and gold are the high school colours here so I did get to use them when DS graduated and I will again in a year-ish when DD does - but that'a about it and only a very specific purple at that]

White.. for some reason I hate it.. I would guess I would have a total of about 3 layouts using white, if that... I can't even think of using white on any layouts, as the main page.
I don't know why...and when I was doing cross stitch I hated using white as well. If fact, I started a very Victorian bride sample and I got about two rows in and I couldn't do it. A girlfriend finished it for me and that was my wedding gift. It was very elaborate.
Funny about the color orange, I don't like to use it much either but of course, orange and blue are my football team colors (Broncos).. so I use it more than I like to.

For me it's blue. There are so many shades and hues that it's hard to match one blue paper with other blue papers. I usually end up just mixing it up with different colors.

I find most colors enjoyable to work with...for me, it's a base issue. The only time I can happily scrap with a cream base is during the autumn when there are lots of browns. Otherwise, it makes everything appear dirty to me.
I agree that tonal issues can present a problem, too. Teal is one of them...many times you can't mix because one is more green and one is more blue and they just look awful together. There are so many options to choose from that it's hard to find ones that work well together sometimes.
I love purple, but again, it's a tonal thing. I LOVE lilacs and true deep purples, but a lot of companies make them warmer or more on the raspberry side...with the options so limited, it's even harder. You have to work within a collection and usually is a deterrent because of the colors I don't like (no one wants to do purple without pink and I avoid pink like the plague).

Probably the only one for me would be too much brown. I look for colours that tie in with the photos I use so overall would use a reasonable variety.

I am with everyone on the purple. Even with 2 girls it rarely seems to work with my photos; and since I pocket scrap probably 95% of the time, I don't feel like I have enough of it to make cohesive spreads.
I like white, but it can make me batty sometimes when I am pulling from different kits/sources and my whites don't match or blend well in my spreads.

Purple for me also which is very unfortunate and hard since purple is the color for Lupus awareness and my DD has Lupus. Each year, we do a walk and fundraiser for Lupus awareness so I have lots of purple to scrap and very little purple scrapbook material to work with. I also struggle with using white. I have made VERY few pages with white as a background.

Purple, yellow and pink. These colors cannot be the main color in a paper, or I will not even consider it. I just don't really like those colors on my pages. I will wear purple, HOT pink, and a darker, golden yellow...that one is rare. I HATE most pastel shades of any color.

I think the variations in colour between different lines makes it really hard to match product aside from not being a prevalent colour in my photos. I have an old sheet of MME 29th on Market St (or something like that) which is beautiful but has been in my stash for years because I've just never been able to find the right photos to use it with.

Pink and yellow have no place in my life, whether in scrapping, decor or clothing. I love purple and wear it often, but I don't scrap with it, probably because I coordinate my papers with my photos and I don't really scrap myself.

For me it is pastels. I am not a fan of the colors, so I think everything looks washed out. I can work with any bold colors and neutral colors (maybe not grey so much).

Interesting question crystalb. I never really thought about it. I would say I don't use many pastels in my scrapbooking. I am naturally drawn to brighter colors. I think red can be hard to match. I love it and use it often. And, sorry, but I LOVE pink!

^^This! I'm not sure if it's my style, or a trend, but if I start creating with a cream base (or use too much brown) I don't like my final outcome as well. I still do use it because some of the pps I love are cream-base, but the LO feels slightly "drab" at the end and I'm less satisfied. I love the crisp contrast of white!

I have the hardest time with pastels, they are not my favorite . The color purple, while I like some shades, I never seem to have enough that coordinates, and doesn't seem to work. It takes me longer when I use white base cardstock, because I'm afraid of it looking too plain.

I have the hardest time using my bright shades of cardstock. Give me earth tones anyday! I think I'll have to paint over my brights and use them for a mixed media experiment.

While yellow is my least favorite color, pink is my favorite. I rarely use pink in scrapping anymore, since my primary subject is our teen son. Happy scrapping!

It is purple for me as well. There just isn't enough product out there. I end up having to mix and match. This would be fine if the purples from different collections actually worked together. Generally they don't.

Like many other peas, I find purple hard to work with. But then, it's not a color I try to use very often anyway, as I don't really care for it. When I do use it it's usually more of a plum or eggplant shade. And although I do use pink (almost any shade), I really can't stand pink and purple together. If a LO is calling for something in that family, I'll pick a pink shade over a purple any day.
I dislike most pastels and struggle with using them unless I am making a baby LO. I use a lot of muted shades (deep or rich tones, though, not pastel) and neutrals.

Purple. It kills me to say that since it's my favorite color! There are so many different shades and variations that the few pages I have done in purple were difficult to branch out of single line. Plum, lilac, lavender, royal, etc...nothing seems to go with anything else. It makes me sad.
I can work with just about any color overall but earth tones as a color palette are hard. Like dark brown, mossy green, navy - they look great together. It just doesn't seem to match any photos I take.
