I had these wonderful sateen lilac sheets from Restoration Hardware that were so soft. After 10 years they wore out so I bought a couple new sateen sets but find them to be very hard. One I washed and put on my bed but I already know I don't like it. My mother says I should use fabric softener. I want to return them. I just got them in the mail and still have the receipt from Bed Bath & Beyond. Have you ever returned sheets you've already taken out of the package? I doubt I can fold it tight enough to fit back in the plastic case.

BBB usually had a great return policy. I would try to take them back.

I did. Bought some sateen sheets that were too slippery and stiff for me. Changed them for something smooth and soft. No problems.

I would return them. You need to be comfortable when you sleep. I'm guessing bb&b will not have a problem w/the return.

It honestly wouldn't occur to me to do that unless the product was faulty.

Yes I returned a set of "wrinkle free" sheets, because after washing they were ridiculously wrinkled! I can't remember where, it was years ago, maybe Target, maybe JcPenny?

Yes, I returned sheets to Macy's once. They pilled after just a couple washes. They were a name brand I had purchased many times before. They returned them with no question.

I did a few months ago. I bought some online from Macy's. Washed them, used them for about a week and just did not like them. They took them back, free shipping, no problem.
