I have a problem reading outside with the sun glare. I used to have a kindle and never had a problem. I don't have an option to go back to the kindle.
Is there a screen cover I can buy to help with the glare, so I can enjoy reading outside or at the beach? Or is there a setting I can adjust to read my magazines and my Kindle and Nook apps. I have so many books and I love reading outside, but I cant....

I haven't found anything that makes it possible to read outside on the iPad. I use mine to read indoors and use my Paperwhite Kindle outside.

It helps somewhat to turn it to the side rather than vertical. I don't spend a ton of time reading outside though.

Other than sitting in the shade and squinting a lot, I'm not sure there's anything you can do. I also use a kindle outdoors.

Unfortunately, no. So I have a separate kindle for reading outside. I'll be following this to see is anyone has found anything. I hate having two pieces of electronics for one function.

I find it's actually easier to read on my phone than on my ipad.

I have cataracts and am having surgery next week. The glare is so horrible that I changed my books on my iPad to a black background with white print. It makes it really easy to read. You might try that.

Turning the brightness up to the highest it can go is the only way I can read outside with the iPad, but it gets warm and drains the power much quicker,

Haha. I can't do it.
I knew heading out to my house sitting gig here in Hawaii I would be reading on the beach, so I brought 2 paperbacks, with the idea that I would read them at the beach, and my ebooks the rest of the time, like at night.
Any guess how that went? I start a book on the beach, then can't wait to see what happens, and continue in that book till I'm done.
I'm on my 7th book here. Fortunately, I found a used book store, and I keep turning the old ones in for new, so it hasn't cost that much.

Never mind e-readers or used book stores or paperbacks or anything else... let's talk about house sitting in Hawaii! I want a house sitting job in Hawaii! waaaah.....

Polarized sunglasse and turn it to landscape mode.

The only solution I found was to buy a Paperwhite. Works great.

I couldn't find anything to help with the glare. Sunglasses didn't work for me, unfortunately. My struggles with trying to read on an iPad outdoors is what prompted me to get a Kindle. Well, that and enabling from the RefuPeas.
