Probably my wooden/bamboo slotted spoons and paddles... I've used a couple so much, the spoon shape has worn away - it's kind of cockeyed.

Ooooo, I do love me a good whisk. But if you look in my utensil drawer, you would wonder who the heck needs as many rubber spatulas as I have, so I guess I have a thing for those, too.

The best kitchen tool ever is the Pampered Chef Mix n Chop for cooking ground beef. I will not make any recipe with ground beef without it. Come to think of it, I should probably buy a backup or two... just. in. case.

I do love my good knives...but I love tongs. I have several different pairs in different lengths. I use those things for EVERYTHING!

Kitchen shears. I thought kitchen shears were meant to open up Amazon packages but recently I've used them to cut chicken breasts into smaller pieces and also to cut up cilantro.

Hmmm . . . I have a large collection of wooden spoons, so that would probably be it.
I really love my little spatula from Market Day. Regular spatulas always seem too big for pieces of cake, brownies, etc. This one is just right.
I am definitely in the market for a new set of tongs. The one set I have has metal edges and tends to tear the food. The other set w/the silicon edges doesn't grip the food, so I can't pick anything up. Suggestions?
I also definitely need to get that Pampered Chef Mix n Chop. I've been wanting one for years!

So, here's what it looks like: Mix N ChopIt's possible that I am incompetent as a cook, because whenever I tried to brown ground beef with a spatula, I would end up with huge chunks of it, and I would have to overcook the little bits to get the big chunks cooked through. And for a long time I avoided ground beef recipes if I could. With the Mix N Chop, I can get it all pretty uniform, nice and crumbly and even sized, which makes it so much nicer in recipes! I've never heard of using a potato masher, though, so it's possible that one does as good of a job as the tool.

Good question! My most used utensil would probably be my tongs or spatula. My favorite would probably be a plastic mixing spoon that my nanna gave me. My mum had an awesome mixing spoon when I was a child, and I really wanted one just like it. One day my nanna found one at a garage sale and bought it for me.
Other than than I really love my microplane.

Definitely our cheese slicer. Such a slick little gadget, and much easier to cut a block of cheese with instead of a knife. Now our can opener? Despise it. In fact, I've yet to find one that works worth a darn.

I ended up giving mine to Goodwill. I can do a much better job of breaking up ground beef with a spatula. That said, my favorite kitchen utensil is a rubber spatula.
