The kids have sent a few Easter photos, and I got a few of decorations in the stores last week. Do you scrap Easter? Any special way?

Just like any other celebration. I am in Australia so it's always a bit strange that it's autumn here...and yet if I buy embellishments they are spring themed. I just tend to use generic embellies like enamel dots or leaves

Well, I have the egg dying photos and the Easter morning baskets/egg hunt pics.
I'll probably use pastel/spring paper and I bought 97 cent Easter glitter stickers at Walmart a couple months back.
Easter is an easy one for my to scrapbook. Eggs, bunnies, chicks.

I don't usually scrap Easter as an 'event', as it's just the two of us and not that exciting. This year I have a few photos, as we were travelling in the week leading to Easter and I took photos of decorations in our hotels and around the towns we were visiting - they will probably end up in the travel albums, as a part of the trip.

As a major theme scrapper my Easter photos were scrapped with Easter themed paper. Last year though I used more spring floral paper. I guess I usually have my spring florals with Easter themed stuff as well.
This year my anniversary was on Easter, both boys had other things going on so DH and I went out to eat. I had DS1 snap a picture of his dad and I and I will do a sort of combo anniversary/Easter layout to use up some supplies. I'm thinking I will put a cluster of flowers in the corner with some tiny puffy Easter egg stickers I have.

I made my first Easter LO for Calvinball last month! I've never scrapped it before, but I love all the Easter colors so I'm not sure why I haven't. I fell in love with Echo Park's spring line this year and I have enough left to do a few more Easter spreads.
We don't have many Easter traditions, but I'm thinking of putting together an Easter album filled with stories from my parents, me, my DH's family, and our family Easter's together. We celebrate so differently from the way my parents did that it might make an interesting album. For example, DS has only had one "fancy" Easter where we dressed up. My parents used to dress up and do community Easter events every year.

usually have one layout for egg decorating and then one for Easter itself - sometimes a third for pictures at Church/parish egg hunt
I usually use some themed stuff but try and tie the colours in with our clothes

AAARRGHH...I had my MIL and parents over for dinner and forgot to take any photos of us. I did take one photo of our table setting. I actually used the vintage china I collect, along with pretty napkin rings and vintage napkins. Darn it!
All 3 parents are in their 80's and I wanted a few photos.

It's changed over the years. My oldest 2 don't do egg hunts and my youngest (special needs) hates them. Dying eggs isn't something we've done often. This year I took a photo of their baskets. I should have got a picture of my mom because she came for Easter dinner.

Easter papers and scrappy supplies are for me what fall ones are for other people: I love the stuff, collect a lot of it, but then have a hard time using it. Spring is a messy season around here, as likely to be snowy and cold (like this year) as it is to be warm and spring like, and no flowers outdoors for sure. And the kids don't seem to wear much pastel.
I often get carried away with an egg theme. As a child, I really enjoyed colouring eggs at Easter--it was really our only Easter tradition--and we did this with the kids when they were small (although I never took photos of it!) Some years, we have been lucky enough to spend Easter with the dgk's and then I get to play with eggs and dies again. And each year at least one parent sends me photos of kids colouring eggs, or the finished product. For my scrapbooking, I have egg shaped dies. One year I even crushed up real egg shell, glued it to cs, spritzed it with colour, and then cut out in egg shapes.
Even so, except for the April calendar page, for some reason Easter gets bumped to the bottom of my scrappy priorities each year. I managed to put together some Easter pages (of 2016) during Calvinball. Hoping to scrap the few 2017 photos at the crop next week.

I usually add Easter as an insert to my PL. But I only took a few photos yesterday so I'll probably just make a portion of the pockets in my April spread be Easter theme. It's a good way to use all those pastel PL kits that come in kits!

As I was sneaking some mini eggs I found, (at my age, you CAN actually hide your own Easter eggs ) I realized that I also have a bunch of photos from a few weeks ago, when my dgd baked a bunch of Easter cupcakes with mini eggs on top Those photos are already tucked in with the baking themed supplies for the crop this week, but I will also have my Easter/spring stuff there, so WIN-WIN!

Well I just use my Easter themed stuff or springy stuff... This year's picture which I posted on FB, is a picture of my couch with no people in it. I wanted to get a picture of my 2 girls dressed up for church. YEP I totally forgot. So I posted the blank picture and said the girls could stand to gain a little weight. Everyone thought they looked pretty dang good.. haha
I did get a few of my youngest searching for eggs. And I forgot to take any at dinner. So this year will be pretty lame. lol

As I was sneaking some mini eggs I found, Hey! There's an idea. A page about favorite and not so favorite Easter treats.

We have a family lunch at our house every Easter. I used to take a few photos of the kids with their eggs/chocolate but they are all teenagers now so while they still get chocolate I don't take photos.
However back in 2012 I came up with the idea of taking a whole family photo with the self timer, camera and tripod. Now we take it every year- same couch and everybody sits in the same spot, even the same pose! It has changed- my mum passed away, then my aunt so their spots are empty. One time my grandson went camping but my stepson was visiting from Thailand so he filled his spot- same pose even! We have added a cat, grandson's girlfriend and this year we held a lightbox saying Happy Easter 2017. I love these photos, they show our nieces growing from young girls into teenagers and my daughter often has a new hair colour/do!
The best thing is I can use any colours/embellishments- usually focus on family titles but sometimes include Easter.

I've realized over the last few years that events, like Easter, Birthdays, and Christmas get sadly neglected by me. I finally realized that it's anything that will take more than a double page spread that I neglect. I tend to do only a couple of batches of those a year and the rest get left for another time. Last year, I started making a decision to work on those and completed 2 years worth of Christmas photos. This year during March I did vacation photos.
The last Easter page I did a single layout for 2015 created in 2015. It was of my great niece.

We are often traveling on Easter and most of my photos are from when the boys were younger. Tuesday Morning had a few cute paper packs of Easter paper.

Apologies for the HUGE photos in the post above! I have followed all the instructions but can't get the little squares on my photos to resize it?? I thought I would post my Easter photos as I finished this year's photo last night. I am a very simple scrapper so I don't usually post my layouts anywhere. They are crooked due to my first time photographing layouts. One day I am going to photograph all my layouts so I can keep digital copies of them - ONE DAY!! Corinne

Love the concept of taking the group photo each year with people in the same positions, corinne11! I finished some Easter pages this past weekend. All two-page LO's. General Easter, Basket weaving, egg colouring, Easter baking, and Easter morning activities. Used up all my Easter photos from this year. Used some Easter themed papers, but mostly the B sides. Also gave my Lawn Fawn watercolour designed pp collection a workout. Loved the pastels in that line. Also used some teal foiled cs. Cut a few egg shapes. Used some Easter stickers. Used some pp strips to weave a bg.

I picked up some EP Easter papers at the crop on the weekend, and also a sheet of Bazzill foiled cs which I cut up and used in bits and pieces for the Easter pages I constructed there. Here are a couple of my pages: Eat it Up 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Eat it Up by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
