She hasn't really scrapbooked. No supplies really.
I have dies and stamps so she doesn't need that.
So I'm trying to think really what she needs to do this.
She needs cardstock--I'm thinking just some recollections Pattern paper she likes Package of card bases and envelopes A wet adhesive -- recommendations--maybe glossy accents -- then it serves 2 purposes a good runner -- or other dry adhesive. and maybe some foam dots. Am I forgetting anything else
I have a trimmer, pens, glitter, lots of bling, ribbon etc..

If she's never scrapped, I would go with a bare minimum list to see if she likes it. I think some people say they want to and then realize it's just not their thing. On the other hand, she may be great at it!

I agree - go bare minimum. Have her buy a package of card bases and envies, a few sheets of patterned paper she loves (the [HASH] would depend on what quantity she wants to make), maybe a package of bling or a roll of ribbon and a tape runner that's easy to use and cheap.
It might be best if she can pick the card design on first so she knows kinda what she wants. Don't let her go over board buying for sure!
Have fun!

If she's anything like my mother in law, keep her away from the bling and chunky embellishment! She only dabbles in cardmaking, but when she does, she goes ALL OUT! I'm still surprised that the post office delivered last year's Christmas card!
Seriously, though, I thinks that's awesome of you to help her out. Maybe make up a couple of basic card designs for ideas so she isn't intimidated or overwhelmed with the more advanced cards you may be creating.
Christmas music. Don't forget to add Christmas music to your supply list, even though it's August!!!

OH YEAH Christmas music..great idea.
She has scrapbooked. now with the supplies we have now. She has some stuff. And I'm not encouraging punches, or dies to be bought. Just some consumables she will need for this. We were on pinterest last night and she picked out some great things. Easy for her to make. And I have the dies that work with it.
It will just be fun to scrapbook with someone.

It sounds like fun! I love the idea of playing Christmas music. That would totally put me in the mood to make cards.

Have some ideas for her. Pictures of those ideas would help a lot. She could copy them. Go onto Pinterest and see what is out there. Print 3 - 5 ideas that work with what supplies you have. Then have her choose from those.
On your computer maybe save more ideas so if she wants to look more she could.
For someone who has never made something if you don't have an photo idea or suggestion you'll spend all day chatting.

We haven't found the time yet. I will probably see her this weekend so we will set another date. Its hard because her husband often works Saturdays and I really dislike doing stuff on Sundays. But it may have to be a Sunday.
