this morning.
He wasn't driving super fast (Slow, actually), but was slowly weaving in and out of the 2 lanes as well as onto the shoulder. I was afraid to pass him, so I followed behind and he kept doing it (For about 10 min.) so I called 911. I was worried about him and others. I sure hope he's okay!

I came across this exact same thing a couple of years ago. I happened to be going in the same direction for 10 miles with this guy, and the cops had not yet caught up to him. I couldn't believe that he had not gotten in an accident in those 10 miles during LA morning traffic. There were many near misses. I always wondered if they caught him.

I'm glad you called! What did the dispatcher say? He just said they'd dispatch someone. They had not gotten there yep before the highway split and the driver went the opposite way he did. I was able to get his license plate number, so, hopefully they were able to check on him. They took my contact info, but I didn't hear anything further.

Good for you! I was a dispatcher and we always sent a car on these calls. They are so dangerous, to themselves and everyone else.

A friend of mine was sideswiped by a car driving like that. The car didn't stop so she followed it until it did. The lady driving the car was diabetic and having sugar level issues and really had no idea what was going on. They called an ambulance for her. Luckily, my friend was a nurse and knew the signs and what to ask her.

Yikes! I sure hope the cops were able to find him and make sure all was okay.
Is there any way to check on a previous call?

Good for you. I've done it a few times. I live off a winding mountain freeway, there's been a few occasions when I've spotted a possible drunk driver and reported them. If they get into an accident and hurt themselves that's one thing, but the thought of an innocent victim is the reason I make the call. Each time the dispatcher has thanked me for calling.

I called in a trucker one time that was doing that, he literally popped a hill on the wrong side of the road. Ironically, this morning on the way to work I saw a trucker hit the shoulder and then cross over the yellow line. I'm assuming he was texting.

I did that a few months ago coming home from a crop at Archiver's. The person was driving behind me and was weaving in and out of traffic so much that I felt obligated to call. Unfortunately, they pulled into a sub before the police could catch up to them and there was obviously no way to get the plate number. I hope they were heading home and made it there without hurting anyone.

Good move. We need to respect the road; and the fact we are barrelling down highways at speeds that can easily kill! distracted or impaired drivers are a menace to everyone else in their vicinity.
