I hope to get some pages done today- I printed out some pics, played with my cameo and watched a little bit of my class. Just turned the heat on and I am waiting it to warm up a little bit in my scrap room, so I can get in there. Chilly a.m. in Illinois...Anyone scrapping or doing anything scrappy related?

I've been working on an album all week and I hope to get a bit more done over the weekend. I was in my room and finally chose some papers for a set of LOs I want to do next, but now it is kick off time for football, so it'll be a couple of hours until I get to it.

DH had his monthly poker night, so last night was for scrapping. I finished a layout that is ok, but I put it in my album and moved on. I like the next one I am working on much better.
I usually spend Saturday evening scrapbooking, so I'll be back to it.

I have been missing and regretting not going to my usual April retreat. I've been getting some pages and cards done at home but miss being around other scrapbookers and paper crafters. I'm going next fall for sure! Enjoy your weekend!!!

I hope to either get a layout finished or maybe some reorganizing or something in the craft room accomplished today.

As I had already chosen sketches and papers, I was able to get base LOs for 1 single and 2 double pages done between the end of football and dinner. They still need embellishments, journalling and titles but they are well on the way.

Last night I finished a new traveler's notebook for memory keeping and I'm excited to start working in it today.
I had seen an awesome Pocket Page TN from The Stamp Spot in Australia, but just couldn't justify the shipping charges so I made one! It's part cardstock and part clear page protectors so it will be a change from what I've been doing. And the TN size makes things come together pretty quick.

envious of those of you at crops - that sounds like so much fun!
my house is clean - DH and DD(16) are out this afternoon and DD10 is cleaning her room so I'm scrapping. Almost done with a two-page layout which'll finish up the photos I printed last weekend and then I'll start the ones I printed yesterday (I print weekly on Fridays - so these are Easter egg colouring, Easter, and a school field trip from this week)

Frazzled Mom, I'd love to see your TN. I've switched over to using them for memory keeping and really like the size and the flexibility they offer. My crafty retreat is next weekend so I'm prepping card kits for it. So far, I've got 17 done (each makes 6 cards) but I'd like to take at least 24.

I had planned and hoped to get a lot done yesterday and today but unfortunately only got 3 pages done and although I like how they turned out I'm struggling as to why I actually did them. I had already scrapped those photos but did those for my DD's album. I had decided not to continue to do separate albums for her but although she seemed to understand why I was only going to do family albums she seemed a little disappointed not to have me do a separate one for her so I felt guilty so hence the repeat pages...

I'm cleaning my scraproom and watching youtube videos. I'd like to experiment with more mixed media, I think, so I'm getting inspired. Trying to prep a bit for iNSD coming up in a couple of weeks.

I had a crop last night and today. I have an old friend who goes to this crop and we don't sit together because she works on her stuff and I'm working on mine. But this weekend she took a least an hour and a half of the evening and an hour today to talk to me about stuff. She loves to talk so it takes her an hour to say what I would say in 10 minutes. So being a good friend cut into my uninterrupted crop time. That said, I was very UNproductive for me. The project I was working on was to redo my son's ROTC scrapbook. He had to leave the program because of a knee injury so I decided to get the album completed and redo a bunch of the pages to use up supplies I had bought. I had been scrapping in 2x3 and I reprinted a bunch of the pics into 4x6 since I won't be adding to the album anymore. It is basically finished - I realized there was a photo missing that I am going to have reprinted and I left a place for it on the page. I managed to have the right stuff with me to scrap about 12 pages or so of current pics. I did my Easter/Anniversary pictures from last weekend - one page layout for each boy's book. I also do a one page for each birthday for a holidays and special days scrapbook I keep so I did son's birthday layouts. The crop goes until 9 but I was packed up and helping with clean up by 8. I won't get to scrap again until mid May. . Here's 2 of my layouts from today:

I'm on school holidays and am determined to catch up on some scrapbooking this year! Last year I only did 18 layouts and this year I have done 30 so far. Today I am picking up 124 photos so will spend the afternoon picking papers and looking for sketches/inspiration. I tend to do things in a production line - pick and print photos, organise paper and sketches for 20 or so layouts, then design titles on Cameo, write journaling on computer and finally start putting a layout together. My husband wants to go to Yum Cha so that will take a few hours out of my day. I am hoping to go on a 3 day retreat in July- really miss the once a year camp I used to go on years ago. I don't go on crops either, not many around here. But I do enjoy shutting my door, putting on my music and doing anything scrappy from sorting photos, putting layouts into albums or creating new ones. Corinne

I bailed early this evening from the crop, but am happy that since 4:00 PM yesterday, I have completed 21 pages. Not bad, since old habits die hard, and I started working with my most recently printed photos, for which I did NOT have kits made. I used KikiPea's double page sketch for one LO and a couple of crystalb's sketches for 2 other pages. I need to look at Chinagirl828's challenges in the morning. Starting on my kits tomorrow. I left photos and cs on my table for first thing tomorrow morning. This will be the first of several from my "Baking" kit.

I completed the first LO for a project my DS has asked me to do. He stopped by today and was thrilled with it. I'm still grinning from the fact he wants me to make some pages for him to display at home.
I'd attach a photo but I'm on my phone and can never get it to work properly unless I'm on my Mac. They were fishing photos and I used a great new line from Photoplay called Lakeside. Loved it!

I love your layers and use of patterned papers. What were you unhappy with, the journaling card? I have not been very happy when I stamp those, either. I use Versafine ink for the best results, but honestly, I think my stamps for journaling are poor quality.

Hi mikklynn , yes it was the journaling card that I was unhappy with- my acrylic block wasn't really long enough-so I ended up using part of my cuttlebug folder thingy. I tried using different ink, and could not get a good image of it. I tried different inks, but it didn't work. Now the little black arrows stamped came out nicely. I wish the journaling could be read well...lol Basically, my dogs cone kept coming off and couldn't figure out the problem.Put it back on, and adjusted it several times. I happened to turn around to see my puppy was pulling and untying the string to it! LOL Some nice thick black ribbon in my stash and a double knot seemed to do the trick
