I got a title cut out for a page this a.m. but not sure if I will get to scrap today or not. My fiancee' and ds want me to go fishing with them, (one of my fav things to do) but I really do not want to go. Plus our riding mower broke so I need to try to get the regular mower running so I can mow a chunk of our lawn by the road. Its getting long, and it really stresses me out to see it like that. I dislike mowing, but I dislike tall grass even more ._. Today might be a no win day...lol

dasmith2 - Thanks for asking this thread! I like to read about each other's work. Here's some of what made me feel good about yesterday: The card - I wanted to do some water coloring for a background. I didn't do a great job. Almost threw the paper away. Then I decided to try this versamark dauber I bought and put clear embossing powder all over it, to see if it would look better. It did - a little. Then I did an embossing folder over it - a little better. Then I cut it into two parts - an outer frame and and inner rectangle. I backed the inner rectangle w/white cardstock and raised it inside the frame. I put a ribbon around the inner part too. I covered the part I didn't like w/a sentiment in a label framelit. I finally liked it. The page - I had some cards from a GB kit but not enough. I found another card that kind-of worked, but it had peach where the other cards had hot pink. I took some Picked Raspberry ink and a water brush and painted over the peach to make it pinker. It worked! I love that scrapping has taught me to change things when I don't like them - instead of first thinking about buying more or giving up.

You are very creative and way to solve the "problems" I'm just starting watercolors and I love the look, just need a bit of practice... I can't even begin to describe how much I love this hobby and all it has taught me <3

Took a break from cleaning and organizing to catch up on Project Life this morning.
I'm in a groove with this album this year.
I do a single 9x12 page spread per week (3-6 photos per week only) and work quickly so I don't get too far behind. This approach is definitely working for me. I'm not doing anything groundbreaking in this album (stamping is as adventurous as it gets! LOL), but I'm loving how sustainable it is.

Wrapped up a 4 page PL spread last night! Even used dies, punches and stamps. I am usually too lazy to use 1 of those things, so all 3 was different for me.

I finally have some time to myself to scrap and as I sit at my desk my mojo is nowhere to be found! I need a crop or retreat to be truly productive 😞 Guess I will go back to making kits.

I've been working on finishing some partially done pages. This morning I woke up to lots of rain and a day off work which sounds like the perfect combination for scrapping.

after a super productive day yesterday...I've taken ALL day to get one double-page layout done...not because it was fussy or complicated but because it just wasn't coming together. I love how it turned out in the end but ....
hoping for another layout this evening...

I spent the morning sorting through a little more of my messy space. I found an envelope with some beach photos we took with a disposable camera, so I scanned the disc and decided how to scrap the prints. I decided that one of the pages, a back and front, would be PL, so I went ahead and got those done. The rest are waiting for another day.
So not much, but my room is looking a little better. Baby steps!

My husband had some free time this afternoon so we finally set up my photos to transfer over to my new computer! So excited that I will have them on the new machine, and it's always good to have another back up. I've been copying for a few hours now and I'm only through 2017 and 2016! So I will be doing this all week.

I am home from the crop. My scrap stuff is still in the vehicle. Will unload tomorrow.
Completed an additional 12 pages today. Nothing fancy, but they are done!

I finished one travel album today. I need to take the trip, print pictures, and add embellishments. Feeling accomplished.

canadianscrappergirl, I really like your pages. I don't always ink my pieces, but looking at your layouts I can really see the difference it makes. Nice attention to detail. Thanks for the reminder that I shouldn't be so lazy!

Thanks for the reminder that I shouldn't be so lazy! Thank you!! I used to ink all my pages too and then got away from it. This particular kit said to ink them and I loved the look of it. The pages with the grey blotches is a technique using a mixture of water/dish soap/ and a good quality paint. After you gently mix it together you blow bubbles into it with a straw and gently pat your paper on the bubbles and let them dry. I wish I had inked those papers too. I like the look of distressed edges and ink too.

I'm definitely going to do that layout a few more times. It was in Stettler very small only 10 ladies but nice! I'm going to Medicine Hat this weekend so no sense in unpacking lol. Where was your crop at?

I want to start calling it the Snow Maker Crop, like St Albert has the Rain Maker Rodeo. Never fails we get snow at some time (usually during unloading or loading) and the trend didn't end yesterday LOL. sueg I love your Barcelona pages. The architecture there is so cool, you really don't need a lot of scrappy supplies to show it off. The kraft bg helps to do just that, and I love that font in your title. Perfect for these pic's!

I've been using Kraft CS for backgrounds in most of my travel albums, as it works with so many patterned papers, and means one less decision I need to make. As soon as I saw this font, I knew it was right for these pages. It took a bit longer to find the right PP, which is a really old Basic Grey line.

I finished up my 2016 PL album, started 2017 and completed Jan-Mar. I even pulled out my 2015 December Daily and started setting it up (hmm...I'm just a tad behind). Sunday afternoon at a three day crop can get a bit depressing. A lot of people start leaving early and it really changes the vibe of the room. We had 85 reserved tables. I think maybe 10 never showed. I got a great deal on WRMK albums. 3 12x12 for $34 and I won a WRMK craft tote in the raffle. As our daily gifts we got a 6x6 pad and pack of thickers and a make and take Fri and Sat. I'm the one kneeling.

I'm hardcore! I paid $89 and I was getting every single scrapping moment out of it. I arrived at 2:30p and left at 3:30p Sunday. The room was closed 2a-8a so I was running on 5 hours of sleep Sat/Sun. I highly recommend attending if you're in the Omaha area. They put on a good crop through Busy Scrappin'.

I'm the same way at night I'm scrapping until at least 2 a.m. The people at most of the crops I attend are light weights in bed by midnight lol. Most mornings I'm one of the first scrapping too lol. It's all good I crank up the tunes and scrap away!
