They are building one just a mile from my house (angels singing) and I am considering teaching beginner scrap classes. I am a certified instructor through EK Success and I also taught at LSS's for about 10 years and have a beginner's class already created. I might just want to host a crop monthly. Wondering if anyone knows how their teaching works.
Thanks!

Classes at hobby lobby seem like they would be great. For some reason, hobby had become my favorite of all the brick and mortar stores.

I agree, except that their cardstock doesn't work well in my cameo - lol. Otherwise I love HL. I don't have one close though. Tracie, You'll have to let us know if they are any better to work for than M's.

I am not sure how they are done in all the stores, but in my local store you design the class, and schedule the date with them...they let you put advertising on a tripod in the front of the store. You are responsible for receiving all the $$$ from the class, last time I checked they did not take a cut of it.

A stamp club that I belong to meets there once a month for free. The only classes I have ever seen advertised there are art classes. That would be a great venue for classes, hope it works for you and please come back and let us know what happens.

Hope it works out for you. It would be a great opportunity, especially if they don't hold you to a corporate designed class like a certain other big box store does.
