I used the sketch from Kikipea's April sketch challenge for this one which meets a couple of the challenges here: #4 fresh and stale - those Urban Lily rubons are back (I'm down to about a pack and a half from my starting point of four packs in March) along with another jewellery tag. The new is a glassine bag tucked behind the top photo to create a pocket for my journaling and the white cardstock. It also fits #15 - the sound of music. The title is the name of a song by one of the bands I worked for many years ago and the journaling tells a little about the experience of working for them on this tour. Lastly it fits #18 - use em up! Aside from the two background pieces the papers were all from my scraps, including that green tag that was cut for a project and never used, and the thickers are from a never-ending pack.  I love this! I like the soft, muted colors, and all of the white space. It seems "freeing", somehow. Love the little corner cluster, and that title cracks me up! |

Loving your work ladies! I am enjoying a quiet cup of coffee while waiting for my 4yo dgs to arrive for the weekend, so won't be spending much time in the scraproom for a couple of days.
I WILL be checking out this thread to update when I get a chance though, so if you have any new challenges, smack 'em down! And if you are playing this weekend and complete something crafty that doesn't fit in any of the existing challenges, maybe you can set a challenge that DOES fit it, and use your project as a sample (&/or a link to your inspiration)?

Guess why I suggested the Challenge I did? It wouldn't happen to be because I have one LO yet to make for my Barca album, and it will probably have song lyrics as its title, would it? |

Lots of fun challenges here. I am hoping to do a couple of them - at least make a Mother's Day card and finish up a layout that has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks and maybe the old and new challenge. I haven't read through all of the challenges yet but hope to do at least these if not more. I have fallen into a slump and I need to get out of it.

Guess why I suggested the Challenge I did? I'm glad you did. I normally struggle with these types of music challenges but with moving to a new computer recently I've been looking back at some older photos. Even though I had considered this album done I'm enjoying listening to some older music and telling some more stories that weren't already in my albums. |

I did this one for challenge 14 - tic tac toe. I used the centre column with 3+ pp (I used 6 papers if you include the map paper I cut apart to use as embellishments), washi, and a free space for which I used ephemera (I cut the pin off the back of the badge to use it here).  |

Challenge #1: We didn't exactly make a card for mom, but dgs chose a rock, painted it (with Dad's help and Gramma's sb paints). I put a coat of gesso on it last night so the colours would not leach into the white message. Then dgs painted the white message on the front of it, and "signed" the cs which was covering up the manufacturer's insignia on the box the rock was going in. Good luck to Dad keeping this a secret until Mothers' Day! Attachments:

I love seeing everyone's creations and love the challenges posted.
I would love to suggest a couple - putting your layouts into albums. I had hoped to get mine organized and into albums last month and it never happened.
I also need to clean up my desk and scraproom they just keep getting worse and worse. I have been working in there on and off for a week and it really doesn't look any better. My desk is in our loft and it's bad to. Barely room for a one page layout and it's a huge desk. I really need to clear it off so I can create soon.

Good Tuesday morning! I know a lot of people played last weekend because they couldn't carve some time for actual iNSD scrapping. But hoping there will be some crafty people joining me on line this upcoming weekend.
If so, I am wondering if you will be adding any more challenges to the list? I linked in the May challenges from the board this morning to Challenge #23 (adding the twist to add a clock to the mix.
If you have something to add, please post it in this thread and I will add it to the numbered challenges in the original post. Remember, you can challenge yourself or show us what you have done and challenge the rest of us.

I put up the bash it and build your own kit challenge and tried to tie them to these challenges if you want to grab those if you haven't already grammadee. I have a lot to share when I get pictures soon. I did get unpacked yesterday so that is a start. I hope to keep the momentum going though! |

6X6 challenge: ONLY use paper in 6X6 or less on your creations
Shape it up: Make your title/sentiment in a shape-anything goes as long as it is not straight
Black out: Use black as your accent color in your embellishments, letters, journaling or photo mats
Get Messy: Break out those sprays/inks/nuvos/gelatos etc and get messy on your cretions. Get some inky fingers!

Here is my take on Challenge #7: Nada Nope. I created this page for the retirement album I will be taking to a function tomorrow. There is no photo on it. I used a couple of sheets of Shimelle pp. Cut the shoes (which I coated with Glossy Accents) and shadows using the files preloaded on my Cricut. Used a bling frame over part of the title, and then filled it with Glossy Accents as well.  |

Challenge 19 - Layout - I used a lesson from get it scrapped- page starters lesson 1- bands. You can get it by going to link and signing up for the newsletter. One more for today. This is for Challenge 4 Fresh and Stale - The aqua paper, the cork stars, chipboard and ribbon are all more than a year old. The sequin mix I got in the mail yesterday from spiegelmomscraps.com She sales adorable sequin mixes - this one is called 2 Cool 4 U, Two. If you zoom in there are tiny little mirror stars in the mix.  Courage |

 Wow DawnMcD , you are on a huge ROLL! I am just sitting at the starting blocks wondering what to do... Got as far as making this card this morning for Challenges 27 (Get Messy) and 28 (show your hand). I started with some Recollections "Color Splash Resist" paper. The dots are already embossed onto white cs. I cut to size, then just free style painted it with Nuvo "Aqua Flow" water colour pens. I wiped with a baby wipe, then dried with a paper towel. Used an unknown tag with some HOTP "dazzles" greeting stickers and sponged a bit of TH distress ink over the top. So not a lot of real artistic activity, but I still managed to get my hands inky, so thought I would take a photo of that too. |
