Wow the Peas are impressive! Not such a big deal for our non-US Peas, but in 2011 I spent a week in Cuba (pre-sanctions easing). And I've swam in the Persian Gulf.

I have been held up by armed guards at the Kennedy Space Centre. I have been held up by armed police in a forest in Italy. Other than that everything else I have done has already been mentioned! Interesting! Why were you held up???

I climbed to the top of the big temple at Chichen Itza and (this is becoming a theme) became so paralyzed with terror at the top that I slid on my bum the whole way back down.
Those stairs are narrow! I slid on my butt the whole way down too, so it's not just you.
This is a great thread, I love reading these!!

Interesting! Why were you held up??? Silly more than anything! It was late in the afternoon at the Space Centre and somehow we managed to take a wrong turning and ended up driving down some private roads where the public had no right to be. In Italy the police sort of ambushed us as we drove through the forest. We assumed they were looking for someone in the same type of car as we were driving. Their guns were like sub machine guns which they are allowed to carry on duty. It was pretty scary and I will never forget DH saying "Jeez Gill, look at the size of his gun!" It didn't help that they didn't speak any English and the most Italian we knew would probably only get us a plate of spaghetti and a can of coke. Our passports were in the hotel and they couldn't understand DH's driver's license. After a lot of muttering and gesticulation they seemed to realise that a couple of middle aged tourists were not on their wanted list and they waved us off.

I did the exact same thing. Those stairs were freakin' terrifying. Mine are all uterus related: (Natch.) I infamously removed my own IUD. I had a 10 pound baby at home.

Geez...I don't feel so interesting! HAHA
Let's see... I have been in a tornado, like looked up into it as it hit the building I was in. Survived a car accident in which the car fell from a ramp at the top of the "mix-master" in Dallas. I kissed Kenny Chesney. (But, I'm sure a lot of women have done that!) While serving as the reigning Miss Wolfe City, I shaved my head because my brother lost his hair during his chemo treatments while fighting leukemia (which he survived)! I've been an extra in two TV series, two movies, and a music video.

I was a state champion majorette I own part of the company I work for. I was a pole vaulter and high jumper in high school I am apparently very boring! I think pole vaulting is so cool. It looks like it defies the laws of nature. I'm impressed!

Wow, I'm certainly boring after reading these! That's OK, I'm happy with me and what I've done.
-Put at least my toes in the Pacific (it was December, that water was ICY! COLD!), Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. -Drove (with help) from Dallas to San Diego. Drove (by myself) from Dallas to NJ. -SCUBA certified even though I can't swim. -Kissed AT the Blarney Stone. I wasn't putting my mouth on that thing. Yuck! -Spent the night in the converted stables of a castle. Had dinner in the castle! -Paid 10 cents to cross from TX in Mexico, but paid 50 cents to get back from Mexico to TX. -Pegged a goose with a golf ball whereupon he (or she) promptly pooped. It was one of the first rounds of golf I - ever played. I hit off the T and boom, hit the poor thing. It seemed to be OK. I felt bad. -Ridden one of those water bikes off Wikiki beach.
Hmmm. I've done a lot of water things for someone who can't swim. I better stop that before I push my luck to far.

Wow! What an amazing group of ladies!
Nothing I've done is all that thrilling, but since the question was something others may not have done . .
did my student teaching in Liverpool, England held a million dollars in cash had a guard in front of the Queen Mother's house say 'Cheese' when my friend took my pic w/him (to be fair, I'm not sure if they're all not supposed to talk or just the ones in front of Buckingham Palace, so it might not be that big of a deal) climbed to the crown of the Statue of Liberty sat in a chair the Pope sat in in a cathedral in Liverpool stole pachysandra (sp?) from Martha Stewart's front lawn (OK, technically my friend stole it, but she gave it to me - and she's a Pea!) slept at the camp where they filmed Friday the 13th

Fun thread!
I have lost over 200 lbs.
I was a single mom while also being a sahm, homeschooling mom to a child 2 boys and one with special needs. I know lots of women who have walked those paths but not often at the same time. Hard season but we came out different people for sure and better for it.
I have swan with stingrays and mantatee's.
I facilitate and help lead a seminar and have done so for about a decade. I love it and it is a passion I have.

I sat on the Spanish Steps in Italy when there was no one around. Hard to imagine considering how crowded that place can be because it's a tourist trap.

I've gone class 5 white water rafting. Caught a seagull with a fishing pole (totally by accident!) I have walked across the Golden Gate Bridge I have met Donny Osmond Tell us about your Donny Osmond experience. Were his teeth as beautiful in real life as they've always been on television. Did you swoon? I was on a March of Dimes walkathon and being a pre teen I wasn't doing it to raise money for the cause I was doing it because Donny Osmond was going to be there. I was donned in all the Osmond gear including my purple socks! I got to shake his hand and said, "I am wearing purple socks!" Like that was going to make him fall instantly in love with me! He said "Those are nice socks" Yep that was my conversation with Donny Osmond! Changed my life forever! Just kidding!! And yes, his teeth were totally white and lovely!

I moved to Germany by myself a few months after my 20th birthday. While there I got to take a hammer to the Berlin Wall as it was coming down (I also stood on the top of it). I have been married 3 times. That is so cool! I have a piece of the wall that a friend brought me. He chiseled it off himself, and I have a picture of him while he is doing it. My kids do not find it nearly as cool as I do. LOL

You sure can! Do you want to share what the book is ? If not I understand I have no problem sharing! It was a mixed media technique book for scrapbooking: Scraptastic! All the step by step photos inside are my hands, the title is my hand lettering, and the graphic designer did an amazing job with the cover and inside design because she used little bits and details from my pages for the spine, chapter titles, page number decorations, etc.

Oh...
I have also swum (or swam? at this point they both look weird LOL) with rays, dolphins, manatees and sharks. Not one single time intentionally though. Each and every time it was that I happened to be in *their* space. We are at the beach and in the water a lot and you are in their house. The rays were one of the most awe inspiring thing that ever happened, the shark scared the pee out of me, the manatees were very cool and the dolphins were just far enough away that I wished they would come closer.
That is pretty much the extent of my excitement in life. Unless you count all the bar crawls we participated in while in college. LOL

I was a state champion mountain bike racer (in my late 30s). I was also on a state championship high school drill/dance team known for our kick lines. I actually kicked myself in the face and gave myself a bloody nose. I've been stung by a stingray I've been mugged twice out on the street, and help up once in a restaurant where they made us all lie down on the ground.
