Was just watching YBF on HSN. I have tried using brown pencil before, but to me it just looks odd. Maybe to dark? They talk about how it frames your face. What are your tips and favorite brow products? Do you do them with a full face of makeup? When your makeup is more simple? Did it take awhile to get used to the look? I dont know if I am doing it wrong or not used to the look.

YBF brow pencil is actually my #1 favorite product we sell at hsn. It is seriously awesome. I have to do my brows. It just looks more out together.

Some people because of their coloring absolutely have to color their brows. My mom is a natural blonde and had been coloring her brows her entire life until she got them tattooed on. I have pale eyebrows and actually like them that way but I find that whenever I get my makeup done at the counter they automatically want to color in dark thick black brows for me and I immediately detest because I feel that with my blonde colored hair brown brows are better.
I don't think you need a fancy kit, you can just use brown eyeshadow and your regular brush to lightly add some color. One of my facebook friends is a brunette but has light brows like me and showed before and after pics of what her face looks like without adding color to her brows and it truly made her face! She said it's the one piece of makeup she has to have on.

I have blonde eyebrows that are pretty much invisible without pencil. so I color them in every morning, it makes a huge difference, even if the only other makeup I'm wearing is mascara I always do my brows. the color is very important- don't expect to just pick something off a shelf and have it match perfectly. personally I like the cheapo pencils from rimmel or wet n' wild or similar- they have a taupe and a red that when mixed together in varying degrees can match pretty much any hair color I'm sporting. sometimes I fill in with powder depending on the look I'm going for. I have noticed by the end of the day the pencil has faded a bit, but it's never bothered me enough that I feel the need to find a different pencil. it stays on when swimming too, unless I'm snorkeling or in water for hours at a time with no break.
regarding time, once you're used to it takes like 1 minute for both brows, well worth it! mine are kinda pin-up shaped, with a higher arch. I place the pencil point up next to my nostrils to mark the starting line, then draw a straight line (top and bottom) to the arch of my brow and them connect those lines in a point at the end of my brow. you find where your arch should ideally be by laying the pencil from your nose tip thru the outside edge of your pupil. where that line crosses your brow is the highest point. then you find the end by laying the pencil from nosetip thru outside corner of your eye. I have my brows groomed to this shape so I don't need the guideline anymore. of course there are variations to these rules, but this is what works for me. check youtube for tutorials!

I have let my brows grow back in. My right brow has a sparse area. I have been taking biotin without luck. I don't know what else to do.

I've lost so much of my eyebrows due to an autoimmune condition.
I like Anastasia's brow products. I use the skinny pencil to create my brow shape, then I use an angled brush with the dip brow pomade (a relatively new product that I love, used powders before but this is fabulous). Light strokes and less is more.

My brows are non existent. I don't do my brows either. I've also tried using pencils before and it looks extremely fake. I could take the time to figure it out, but I don't care.

I don't like the way a done brow looks on my face. I've has them done at sephora or the brow bar and it looks all wrong no matter what product they use.
I sometimes see women whose defined brows look really unnatural and seem awkward on their faces. Others whose defined brow looks nice on their faces. I guess I just have the wrong face for it.
I tidy the arch and go on about life.

The only thing I do to mine is to brush them. It's always my last make up step. I feel really weird when I wear any kind of brow pencil. My eyebrows are really dark though.

Thanks, I don't want the drawn on look. I dont like it on others either. Powders look unnatural. My eyebrows arent thick, but I do have whole brows. So dont need to draw the other half. I havent tried eyebrow gel, maybe that would be better.

I don't know the first thing about makeup. It's hit or miss most days. If I filled my brows in with a pencil, I'd probably look like a clown. I'm lucky if I get my foundation on the right way. lol

A Facebook friend recommended SmartBrow and I decided to try it. I had felt like I was "fading," especially in photographs (or maybe that was the only place I could really see myself). So I decided to pump up my lip color and try filling in my brows just a bit. I really love the way it looks and it truly does make a big difference on my face. It took me a little while to adjust to it, though...at first, I definitely felt like I looked more made up than I was used to. Anyway, just a thought for anyone who's considering taking the plunge.

I have to add color to my eyebrows and eyelashes or they're invisible. Even if I'm barely wearing make-up I do my brows and put on mascara. I don't need to pluck or shape. The color makes such a difference though, huge, and it takes mere seconds.

I shape them and use Browzings to fill in and define. It is easy to use and never leaves them looking unnatural or drawn on.

I always do my brows, even when just doing mascara and a bit of blush and lip gloss. As I've gotten older my sparse, strawberry blonde brows have really faded. I use Maybelline "Define A Brow" pencil in Dark Blonde. Inexpensive at the local drugstore. I use short, light strokes to fill in sparingly. I then use Borghese "Brow Milano" in Bionde to actually color the hairs, it's a lightly tinted gel that goes on like a mascara. I used to be ale to purchase it at Nordstrom locally, now I have to either buy it on Amazon or eBay. It lasts a good six months. The key (to me) is to use a light hand with both.
I have a blonde haired friend who doesn't use anything on her brows. They are pretty much invisible and I so want to suggest to her that she does something with them. She really needs to as her eye lids just blend right in to her forehead.
