I mentioned here (or at 2peas) about my love affair with TripAdvisor. I use that site for everything.
Well last month when we were on vacation we went zip linning and I wrote a review for it. I also included a couple pictures I took with my point and shoot (didn't take my big camera - was too afraid to). The zip line company contacted me yesterday about using my pictures in exchange for 4 free passes to zip line. That's a $400 value!
This is the 2nd time a company has contacted me because of my trip advisor reviews asking to use my photos. It's pretty cool to get emails like this one.

Wo w, I post reviews on TripAdvisor all the time(love that site) I post pics too, but it's never for anything as exciting as ziplining.

That is so awesome! I always post reviews but rarely pictures. Im leaving for Belize on Monday, so I'll be sure to post reviews WITH pics. It really is helpful to have pictures from real people - especially when you're booking a hotel in an unfamiliar area. I've seen some real dumps, but the hotel has posted some amazing pictures  |

Oh, and I forgot to add - TripAdvisor will sometimes send you something as well. They sent me the cutest luggage tag a couple of years ago.

My best friend works for Trip Advisor -- it's an awesome company to work for. They're very good to their employees.
They're looking for software engineers if you know any in Massachusetts or London.

Trip Advisor sent me an email just yesterday saying I have helped more than 7000 people plan their trips through my three reviews. I happened to be in an existential funk at the time, so it actually lifted my spirits a bit. My life was newly meaningful. |

I love tripadvisor and I really appreciate when people take the time to post reviews, especially when they include photos or other helpful information that you might not read in the guidebooks.
