wow! I get fidgety after just 20-30 seconds, waiting for a shot! I can't imagine sitting for hours- every night- for that long! It is a really cool photo, though. It would be neat to see them coming and going, like that.

I applaud the determination to go out there night after night and sit in a river waiting, but (and I feel awful even saying this) if I hadn't known that this was an actual photo, I would have thought it wasn't real. Something about the look of the photo because it's underwater, coupled with catching the beaver mid-movement makes it look like the beaver itself isn't even real to me.

It's not even the waiting. Water saps your body heat regardless of what exposure protection you may have - being submerged in a river for a few hours a night would be brutally cold.
