How interesting, thanks for sharing!
I spottted a name I recognized, I had read a Cherry Ames book or maybe 2 of my sisters growing up, so that was a neat blast from the past to see that. Also Trudy Phillips who wasn't mentioned there but I vaguely remembered reading the New Girl book of hers, also my sister's.

Very interesting! I grew up on Nancy Drew after finishing the Bobbsey Twins. my mother introduced me to girl detectives.

My mom loves and collects the Cherry Ames books.
I love Nancy Drew, I love when I find the old ones. I have one where Nancy's car has a rumble seat and George gets so mad she "could spit nails". The pictures in it are amazing as well. I appreciate that they update the language, but I really love the old ones.

I never really liked Nancy Drew, but I read the heck out of Trixie Belden books. I loved going to the local independent bookstore when I had enough money to buy another one.
