Updated with pictures of my first card with a new die several posts below ***** If you are nuts about pop up and other interactive dies, you probably know who Karen is. If not, you are in for a real treat! I just got an email last night about Karen's new business at KarenBurniston.com. She has new dies coming up, some are very close to what she had and others are similar with new twists. She has two new word sets where they look brush stroke, really like them. I'll get them even though I do NOT need any more word sets, I just like the style. The Katherine Label Pop-Up has already been pre-ordered! The Twist Panel Pop Up and Charm Accordion are for sure on my wish list. She has a Nature Edges set with stitching on both sides that is on my list. The Flower Pot pop up is fantastic but I have her original on layaway. Her first animals are 1-1/2 inches tall. The Woodland Animals set has a squirrel, racoon and fox. Oh and click "shop" to see all the dies. I didn't see 2 or 3 of them on the home page but did find them when I clicked on "shop". Karen's WebsiteHere is one of the dies.

For the people who haven't heard of Karen, if you make cards and have looked at Sizzix dies a few years ago and Elizabeth Craft Designs in the last 3 years, you've probably seen Karen's designs and might actually have one. She designed for both of them and is now on her own with a partner. This die is the one that I pre-ordered and I NEVER pre-order! She has videos showing how to do all the cards and has downloadable PDFs of all her new dies that make it even easier.

I'm late getting this posted. I did this last Saturday on GS but didn't bump it and then never got around to posting this here. Anyway, I couldn't stand it and pre-ordered one die, Katherine Label Pop-Up. I was surprised to get an email the 24th ago saying it was shipped since I was told it wouldn't ship until the first week of June. But, I got it last Saturday. Oh and I was bad and ordered another on payday! Here is my card (that I made a week ago), closed, half open and opened. I later added a label for friends whose anniversary is coming up soon. Since Jeff and I were two of only 3 people there with them, I like to make them a card. Looks like ONE piece doesn't it? Scalloped label is Spellbinders and the hearts are left overs from the inside border, flower is QuicKutz and sentiment is DieVersions. Center label and border came with set. Came apart! Fully open and yes, I went back and added more hearts to the lifting label after I took the first pictures. The heart borders with tiny inside hearts did NOT come with it. Dies that came with the set are the tiny outline heart on top of the label and the solid on the bottom is from her set as all the labels including the oval label on the bottom left inside. I used all in the set except the tiniest heart and tiniest label. Below is the package that shows the dies with the set. The package has directions on the back, the website has a video and more extensive downloadable PDF directions. After you do the first one, it is super easy. I never make a square card but had a scrap the right size AND funny thing, it was the same color as her package sample. I decided to do it close to hers the first time around. I've got to get back to making cards and cleaning house! I have more popups, box cards and Lawn Fawn dogs, cats, mountains and sewing machine dies to play with! A friend ordered some cat cards! Here is the video on how to put the card together. ***
