I have an opportunity to have a table at a scrapbooking garage sale this summer. I have donated and given away quite a lot of supplies but there are some things I'd like to try to sell...to earn money to buy more crafty things, LOL. I'm looking for advice on how to package and price things. I'm very willing to price low to get things sold.
I have tons of paper that I'd like to get rid of and would prefer to sell it in lots. I thought I would label the lots with the number of sheets included, name of the manufacturer(s) and collection(s). Would you buy paper this way or would you want to see each sheet before purchasing? Also, what would you expect to pay per sheet of paper at a sale like this?
I also have a ton of the clear stamps that were sold for $1 at the big box stores, many of which have never been used. Would it be better to sell these in lots (Easter, Christmas, etc.), or would it be better to price them individually and give a deal for purchasing a certain quantity - ex. buy four, get the 5th free?
Any feedback is appreciated!

I think the stamps should be in lots. Paper should be bundled and themed as well. Writing the manufacture is a great idea.

When I had scrappy sales, I put all the paper (not collection kits) in a box for .10 cents each. I sold a ton! I priced everything else .25 or .50 unless it was brand new (unused) then about $1-2 for embellishments and $5-8 for collection kits/stacks. I only bundled ribbon. I rarely had much left.

I think bundling paper is a better way to go shoppers want to shop at a table and move on! Most don't want to dig thru a box of paper.
The key to getting rid of stuff is gselling it cheap especially if it is old as dirty. I've been to many craft sales where people have their prices way too high and the crap doesn't move.
I'm doing a crafty sale in a few weeks I cleared out a bunch of themed stuff xmas valentine's etc. Bundling it together in a clear bag and charging $5. Stamp sets will go for $1 to $3. Embellishments will go for .25 to 1.00 depending on how old it is. I bundle up bling/ribbon or other like stuff and sell it for $3 to $5 depending on volum e of stuff jammed in a bag.
Last yr at the sale shoppers said my prices were really good!

Definitely bag up the paper in the oversized zipper bags that you can get at Dollar Tree. People will manhandle the paper.

I tried bundling up the paper by color or theme and selling it really cheap (25 sheets for $2) and people here didn't want to buy it that way at all. I maybe sold a few packs, but ended up hauling most of it back home again. I couldn't sell it by the sheet because everything at the sale I was selling at had to be minimum 50¢, not to mention it would get trashed. I ended up donating a bunch of it to my kid's school.
The stamps here would sell better individually. We found that if people wanted only one of the stamps in a group, they wouldn't buy the bundle even if it was cheap. It was so weird. My friend and I both thought, "Why not just buy them and resell the ones you don't want?"

My best advice is to sell cheap.
I'd list the stamps for 50 cents a piece.
Paper, bundle it in $1 increments, whatever you want to put in a bag for a buck. Most people will take a risk on a dollar, but not much more.

Thanks for all of the feedback! Besides not wanting to deal with selling the paper by the sheet I'm definitely afraid of it getting manhandled and becoming unusable, so I'll package it up and price it low and hope for the best.
Something else I just thought of...I have some new-in-package scrapbook club (Embellish It) kits that I'd like to sell. They're really nice kits but I just have many more than I'll ever use, plus some of the themes aren't suited to the types of pictures I take. Each kit retails for $25 and makes four layouts, plus there are generally some embellishments left over to use on other projects. What would be a fair price for these? I was thinking along the lines of $6 each or 3 for $15.

I've done lots of these sales and seen things done all kinds of ways. My friend does both packs of paper and individual sheets and she usually gets rid of the individual sheets and is stuck with the packs because people will spend $10 on paper that is 10 cents each but not spend $10 on the same amount of paper all in one pack. Who knows why?
I always sold cheap - ultra cheap so that no one could walk away from my table. Lots of 25 cents and 50 cents. At least I didn't take it home. I usually spend what I make on other people's stuff.
