I got The Cinch for my birthday at New Year and, I'm ashamed to admit, feared trying it because I thought it might be one of those expensive errors. Today I decided for no good reason to have a play and I am chuffed to bits with it. I didn't have a plan, just raided a notebook for lined paper and made a couple of simple covers. That took the most time, 2 1/2 hours! Using The Cinch took less than half an hour to make two small notebooks, and they're brilliant - if a little plain. I thought I'd need more help from my husband, but the only trouble I have is cutting the wires, the rest I can do myself. Oh, and lifting it onto my craft desk, that is beyond me! Blog post - It's A Cinch. And how daft it is that I am so happy my wires are neatly closed! Who has a Cinch and what have you made?

I don't have one either because I suspect it would be a bit of gimmick for me and I'd never get enough use out of it. That said, I love your notebooks, especially the full sheet of pattern on the inside cover.

Cute notebooks.
I have the Bind-it-all machine and thought it was super easy to use too. Although it still has only been used 2 times.

Boy do I wish I had picked one up when I spotted it on clearance about a year ago! It sat there for weeks and by the time I thought I might like to have it, of course someone else thought that too and it was gone!

I have the Bind-it-all machine and thought it was super easy to use too. A friend loaned me her Bind It All and I couldn't use it at all. From putting the paper in upright, to using the handle, it was impossible. This is much more user friendly if, like me, you can't hold your arms up. And I couldn't see my husband helping with it, far too fiddly for him, whereas he is quite impressed with the Cinch.

I have the pink Bind it All and the teal Cinch and like both. They used the same size wires. I also have another similar machine but it has holes punched closer together and the wires are much smaller, when I go bigger with that machine, I have to use spiral coils. I have wire bound music books and cookbooks and made some mini albums. I also make some recipe books and perpetual calendars that hang from the top of the wire. Hopefully, this link goes to my Scrapbook.com gallery that was brought over from 2 peas so you get the idea of some of the things I've done. My Scrapbook.com gallery

I agree, lovely work JaneB I make all my own travel journals and December Dailys....that way I can get them exactly the right size and format. I began with a Bind it all but as soon as I got my Cinch, you know where the BiA went?! I'd quite like the Heidi Swapp Cinch with the square holes but can't really justify another one...can I?! I particularly like the way holes can be punched exactly where you want them, as on your books. No need to punch right across the page. Great!

i have two of the one that punches circle holes and one that punches the square hole. i love the Cinch. so much better than the Bind it all (which i also owned two of). my favorite and most used size wire is the 1 1/4" but i've used the smaller sizes too. i've also used the continuous spiral wire too.

I think the Cinch would be great for those of us who are left handed and have a hard time writing with the giant metal spirals. You could just cinch the right side of the paper. I have a binding machine, but I haven't used it for ages.
