I haven't had to buy white 12x12 CS in a very long time and I feel completely out of the loop. Where will I get the best bang for my buck? I'm leaning towards Amazon or eBay, but I'm wondering if there aren't some nice little online stores that could use the business. Thanks!

Have you tried Bazzill since it was bought by American Crafts? In my opinion, they have totally ruined it. The colors aren't quite the same, it feels so much thinner and the quality just isn't there any more. I stalk stores with the "old" pre-American Crafts, true Bazzill paper such as Marco's Papers (whose variety of colors has dwindled down to just about nothing. I refuse to buy the new stuff. I have found that most on-line stores will tell you if they have the older brand and often on e-bay, the seller will differentiate if it is the "good" stuff. I just don't understand why American Crafts buys companies, as to me, they seem to either discontinue the products or just kill the quality of what were popular brands. I wrote to them when they bought Bazzill and they said they did not intend to change it, but within 9 months, they had drastically reduced the number of colors available along with the quality, variety and depth of the patterns, tone of the colors and thickness/weight of the paper. I heard that they did change the manufacturing from the US to China which if true probably explains a lot.

Bazzill is now mystory (or whatever they call their cardstock) from mme, I think. You can still find original bazzill but it is getting more difficult.

I didn't realize. I stopped scrapping for awhile and had a pretty big stash to rely on so I haven't needed CS in ages. Darn...I really loved Bazzill (hence my huge stash).
So is there another company that makes a good quality white cardstock?

WorldWin makes a heavier cardstock that in my opinion cuts better than Bazzill. I order mine through The Paper Mill Store, www.thepapermillstore.com. Last time I checked it was $8.47 for a package of 25. Shipping is extra. A lot of the WorldWin cardstock is found under the ColorMates and Cut Mates brands.

Although still using my inventory of (pre-American Crafts-acquired) textured Bazzill, I plan to try My Colors by My Mind's Eye. I was told by a not-so-LSS clerk that the original/former owners of Bazzill left American Crafts & are the creative force behind MME My Colors. She noted similarities in color names (eg Bazzill Atlantic vs My Colors Atlantic Shores) allow scrappers to match the new My Colors with Bazzill colors, while My Colors offers the weight, textures, & color consistency that made Bazzill popular (which she claims AC has subsequently changed). The MME My Colors cardstock is nice. But I bought a couple individual sheets and they all had stickers on the back, my pet peeve.

The MME My Colors cardstock is nice. But I bought a couple individual sheets and they all had stickers on the back, my pet peeve. Bazzill often had stickers too, especially when I purchased at Archivers. But it always peels off easily and has the name (like Pomegranate) so I know what to buy to match.
