I began scrapping when my oldest was 2. I did go back to scrap everything from his birth on and have been chrono scrapping ever since. I gave up trying to scrap things from before I had my boys, figuring they wouldn't really care that much and I could always go back and do them later on in life if I ran out of other photos. Like that will happen. I am scrapping photos from the end of 2003. Did I mention I am a chrono scrapper? Did you read it right? 2003. I'll be sitting w/ myboysnme and we'll be scrapping til we're 117. I'll bring the Geritol. I'll bring the pillows- our hineys will need them by the time we are 117.....

I have made an executive decision to not worry about getting them all done. My kids are 30 and 32 and I'll NEVER be able to go back and scrap all those years of pictures so I've decided to just choose some favourite photos here and there over the years to scrap. I'm with you. If I allowed myself to consider 'getting it all done', I'd give up. Enjoy what you do get completed and know there will be plenty of years in the nursing home to scrapbook those older photos!

Do you ladies do full layouts or PL? I got a lot done just by going back to my daughter's baby pictures and doing a very simple PL. The album isn't great by any means, but I figure that the photos are at least "safe" in page protectors I am hoping to go back to them at a certain point and add embellishments etc.

I do both.
Most of my photos are 12x12 layouts, but I started PL a few years ago.
I did it mainly for those random pics that don't really fit in any category and definitely don't deserve an entire page for themselves. It sort of took off for me from there. I have all these snippets of our daily life that I'm sure my kids would otherwise forget (Mom's obsession w/Yankee candle, the woodchuck in our back yard, cooking mishaps, etc.). Added to that are pics from my husband. He travels a lot and it's great that he's able to take pics of the places he goes, people he meets, etc. and upload them to Snapfish from his phone. I can then incorporate them into the PL photo a day format I use.
Yep. I'll be scrappin' til I'm 117. Just picked up a date stamp today at Tuesday Morning. I'm good to go til at least 2023, lol.
