I hope to get in my scrap room as I have been working on the layout for Bobby's Arrow of Light. Then I found my DH has another photo I would like to add to it so I have to print it then I have to let it dry. I am having fun looking at the photos Peas are adding to the challenge! kellyr21 I will be watching the Cavs play tonight. I sure hope they do better then they did Thursday! Lots of turnovers and errors! That sweet baby bunny I photographedI just worry was sure enjoying himself. I just worry about him and predators. When it saw me it hid in a hurry. Waving a big HI to everyone I'll be back later to see what's happeneing!

Hi, all you sweet Pokeys! I am really enjoying the photos being posted on your challenge thread, grammadee . Very interesting! I hope I can keep it up while all the kids are here for Cousin Camp next week. We will see. scrapincin , I can't wait to see Bobby's Arrow of Light pages. The photo of the Eagle Scout I posted was one of my Webelos who was an Arrow of Light recipient. He's such a great young man. Now I will be looking forward to other of Bobby's awards in Scouting. I finished this page last week, but didn't get it scanned until last night. Little Miss Organization by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

I typed out a long post this morning, but somehow managed to lose it. Will try again. We drove home today with a stop in Edmonton for me to print pic's, dh to check out Home Depot, lunch at Swiss Chalet, and then a quick trip to Costco. We were home by 5:30PM, but I have done nothing except pull stuff out of the vehicle. I am pretty pooped... (An expression my little dgs's would love!) The grad was lovely and I am glad I had a chance to print the photos on the way home. Also got some great shots of the little guys giggling--they do that a lot--a barrel race, and a tee-ball game. I may get to scrap a couple of pages tomorrow, as dh has an appointment in the morning so I will have the house to myself. He does not have the garden quite ready to put the rest of the seeds and the bedding plants in, so I have to wait til he comes home to do that, anyway. Loved your bunny photo, scrapincin. I missed a great shot that would have worked for the Wings prompt. A mama duck was walking her little brood along the back fences behind ds's house. The kids were excited to see her, but we kept them quiet. By the time I got my camera I had missed the shot. I think she had built her nest beside the natural slough that had been on the property next door, but this year the old farmyard sold, and the whole area is under construction, trees knocked down and the slough drained. There is a man made spillway pond about a block and a half away in the direction she was walking. I really hope she made it. I will leave some love for your page in the Gallery, nylene. She sounds like she is a lot like her grandmother, always planning nice things for people. Looking forward to a long sleep in my own bed. Will be back tomorrow!

Good Tuesday evening, Ladies. Dh had an appointment this morning so I took the time to sort the photos I had taken and printed over the weekend. Then I put together a couple of quick pages of the grad. Dgs wants me to scrap the grad for him to add to his book, so I am going to do the same as for the rest of his album: do the pages, then make a copy for him and put the originals in my album. I have a lot of photos, but some can go into photo sleeves. This evening, dh worked up the garden again, and then we set out the bedding plants. Just got into the house. Loving all your photos in the Photo-A-Day thread. scrapincin, I love your yard. nylene, those flowers are lovely, and that word art of your dgk's names is awesome. LisaDV, it looks like your dd loves gardening as much as you do. Your family has really found a way to make country living an adventure! Here are the pages I did today. My June goal was to use my stamps, and I managed to use one on each page. Grad 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Grad 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Hi everyone and happy almost Wednesday. I hope you all had a nice week so far. I was a little sick but feeling better now. I got to catch up on the photo challenge and some other fun stuff. I even started some more scrapping along with my other crafts. I have spent the last several days just organizing the pp and pictures and I hope to finish one of them soon. Fingers crossed. LOL! scrapincin- Hope the Cavs can at least win a game cause these Warriors are rolling. Will be watching tomorrow. nylene- So good to see you back up and scrapping. Your page of your dgd is so pretty! She looks just like her mama. grammadee- Glad you made it back and had a good time. Those ducks sound so cute. Waving hi to you all and take care.

nylene, I love that you used the grid design on the miss organization page. Very neat and orderly. grammadee, I lose posts too. It's so frustrating when it happens. Great pages. Glad to see you using your stamps. kellyr21, I'm sorry you were under the weather, but glad you're feeling better. DD & I had a lovely day on Sunday. Don & kids are going to his dad's this weekend in Chicago. I'm staying home to care for the chickens. It's his dad's 80th birthday. His dad's girlfriend is throwing the party. DH just called to complain, because she invited 80 people to his dad's house and only has 25 chairs coming and one small tent from his brother. WT heck??!! The house won't hold 80 people, we're cramped with just the family. So it has to be outdoors. The backyard at that time is very sunny. I'm glad I'm not going. ha. I'm going to finish painting the great room. I painted the living room side after Thanksgiving, but couldn't get to the dining room side with the trim and doors and hall flooring stored there. Now that it's gone, I can't wait to finish it off. Plus it's easier without having to stop to cook for everyone. I hope to get some crafting done too as it doesn't seem like it will happen before then. Waving hi to everyone.

Hope you feel better soon, kellyr21. Can't wait to see some of your artwork. Sounds like you will have a busy home alone weekend, LisaDV. When in your past did you ever think you would "have to stay home to look after the chickens"? We are having some plumbing issues resolved this week. Nothing major: just routine repairs on a 30 year old home. The guys arrived this morning about 9 and were here most of the day. Dh had an appointment this morning, so I had to stay in the house until he got home. Then it was too hot to do much in the garden. We finished planting the rest of the bedding plants tonight, and seeded the cukes. I hope to get out there in the morning and get the pumpkins and zucchini and beans into the ground. It is supposed to rain on Friday, and the soil is finally nice and warm, so this should give them a perfect start. The good thing about having to hang around the house staying out of the way of a couple of plumbers, was I finished 3 pages today: a 2 pager inspired by the June sketch challenge and my June calendar page. Here they are: Brothers on wheels by Gramma Dee, on Flickr June 18 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

lisa , good luck on the painting. Maybe when your family arrives at the party, some of the invitees won't be able to come and there will be room for all. That's kind of crazy planning! Enjoy the peace and quiet while they are gone. Enjoy your chickens! kellyr21, I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. I hope you are up and going again by now. What kind of art are you doing? grammadee , I can't believe how fast you are at scrapping. Great pages! msliz , I'm enjoying your photos on the other thread. Those gardens look so pretty and peaceful. I tended Alex yesterday while Em went to girls' camp with her girls. He is so much fun, but such a busy body. I had to give a presentation at our mission meeting last night and was a nervous wreck. Tending helped to keep my mind off the worry. I don't know why I can't get up in front of a group of adults without having terrible anxiety. Give me a room full of children and I'm comfortable! After rewriting the presentation multiple times, I decided to present it like I would for 10 year-olds. It came together so much better and I think it was OK. We are all just grown-up children, aren't we? Anyway.....it's OVER! Have a great day, everyone. I will scan and post a layout in the morning.

Good Thursday evening! Hope you are all doing well. Great strategy for dealing with pre speech nerves, nylene! Hope your order comes in quickly so you can play, msliz. The plumbers finished today. And the last seeds went into the garden. Just in time for the weeding to start! Got things put away under the sinks today. Ran some errands. Dh finished cutting grass, and is now starting to get the exterior of the house ready for the painters who are supposed to arrive next week. Unlike LisaDV, we hire people to do this type of thing: it would take us forever, and I am not sure both of us would survive the adventure. Hasn't been done for 30 years, so it is time. I have a 2 page LO spread out on my scrap counter with just a few more things to stick down. I started out with great hopes for these pages, then was not very happy with how they were coming together, but I think I will like them now. The photos are cute, and that is all that matters anyway... Don't think I will ever get caught up with scrapbooking! My dgs's other gramma just emailed me a bunch of grad photos I didn't have. And I promised him I would scrap his grad for his book. And another ddil just posted a bunch of sweet photos of her kids at a petting zoo. Guess I will have to live forever!

Guess I will have to live forever! That sounds like a good plan to me! I have to agree msliz and grammadee ! msliz , I ordered $20 worth of dies from AliExpress in Dec. Just wanted to see if I liked them. Because of Chinese New Year when everything shuts up tight, they didn't arrive until Feb 1, but that was exactly the date they quoted me. I got 6 sets of dies for the $20. I have really enjoyed them and will plan to order again. Let us know how you feel about the products when they arrive. grammadee , it sounds like your planting is going well. I understand about hiring out the heavy work. We call our DS and he sends one of his sub-contractors to do the work. We have a hard time getting him to take payment though. I think he is good to his subs, because they are usually in his debt and he feels like they can repay him that way instead of with $. This is the layout I have been working on. Not my favorite, but it's done and the kids will like seeing it when they come next week. Cousin Concert by Nylene Budge, on Flickr scrapincin, did you get some scrapping time? I need to go find something to take a photo of today. Hmm, will have to think about it. Have a great day, everyone. Save

Great layouts, ladies. I've been lurking mostly. June is pretty busy for me as I head to the end of the school year on the 29th. Last weekend I drove 2 hours to help put on a workshop and then stayed over to see my nieces dance recital. Today I am off two hours in the other direction for a weekend in the big city with three friends. I have been taking a photo a day. I just haven't posted them yet. Some of them are on prompt, but not great. I have never ordered from AliExpress, so I am interested to hear how it works out. I have done nothing crafty so far this month and I'm not sure I will get anything going until July. Have a great weekend everybody.

Sounds like you will have a busy home alone weekend, lisadv. When in your past did you ever think you would "have to stay home to look after the chickens"? Absolutely, NEVER!! I was a small town girl and purposely married a city boy as I didn't want the rural life. Great layouts. I like the orange border on the "on wheels" layout. It really adds a lot of continuity to the design. On your June calendar page, I like that you heat embossed. You're really doing fantastic on using those stamps. you will be crafting, just on a much bigger scale! Well the warm caramel color could be considered like kraft cardstock I guess. ha. nylene , crafting your presentation to the younger audience you're familiar with was a brilliant idea. I'm sure you did a fantastic job. I'm glad you had dgs to distract you from your nerves before hand. The family left after lunch, so I relaxed while doing some research. Then I started to spackle some really bad areas. The walls will all be replaced in a few years, so they don't have to be perfect, just need a different color on those ugly walls. When they're redone, I will have painters come in so it looks nice, grammadee . Then my niece(35) called and 2 hours later... This is probably why I don't talk on the phone very often, because whomever I am talking to (niece, sister, friend) are people that I usually don't talk to very often, just text, so we tend to go on and on. Since it's already 6pm, I've decided that painting will wait until tomorrow. So I have some relax time available this evening. woo hoo. Hope to have a bit more time to check in over the weekend than I have had this week. Waving hi to everyone.

Happy weekend, Ladies! It rained all morning, and I puttered around in my scraproom. Finished the 2pager I had started yesterday and then put together a really quick grid pattern couple of grad pages. Started--but didn't finish--sorting out my bling drawer. Tired of never being able to get my hands on the particular dots or gems or swirls I want. The weather cleared this afternoon, so we went out to a community bar b Que. Of course it clouded up and started pouring about the time everyone arrived. We were all crammed under a gazebo waiting for the steaks and burgers to cook (which took longer of course because of the viscious wind). Not quite what people envisioned, but got to visit with a lot of people we hadn't seen for awhile. Now we are back home and the rain sounds like it is settling in for the night again. I want to finish the grad pages so I can get them copied to take to dgs in a couple of weeks. Did the ceremony today. Still have the prom part and family photos. Not sure if I will do 2 or maybe 4 pages. Will have to see how the photos flow. Here's the double pager I started yesterday and finished this morning. Did quite a bit of stamping on it. Tried out Debbie Hodge's 3 cluster design. White space is always a challenge for me. I like it on other people's pages, but on this LO, it just looked empty until I filled it up with stickers and stamping and various other bits & bobs. Hide & Find by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Good Morning everyone! I hope you are having a nice restful weekend. I have been up for quite a while so I finished a digital layout I started last night of the baby robin. I am going to work on the Arrow of Light layout today and hope to post it this evening. grammadee I love your layout and that doily of your Mothers is beautiful also. I have several that my DMIL made and gave to me. I have them in my cedar chest to be handed down to my girls. What a wonderful gift your aunt gave you. I know yu must cherish those items. LisaDV-for marrying a city boy you sure have added some country to the mix! LOL justjac you are one busy lady. I am just so glad that you are busy enjoying life and not just working all the time. Look forward to seeing your newest creations on the gallery! nylene I really am going to get that layout finished. The photos are finished and I found a couple of items online that I wanted added to it that the scout master did not add to the ceremony. He is in a new troop now and has friends from school in the same troop so things are going smoothly so far. msliz I a going to have to find some of your creations so I can enjoy your works. I am sure they are wonderful. kellyr21 well we are bac in the finals and my teams always seem to need to go about things the hard way. I can not believe they lost 3 ina row and come back and play like they did in Game 4! They just amaze me at times! I really like Kyrie He's a really good player and I am glad Tristasn Thompson got back to normal! We shall see how it goes Monday night when they are back in your neck of the woods! msliz I a going to have to find some of your creations so I can enjoy your works. I am sure they are wonderful. Nah, my stuff is pretty ordinary. I don't have much online because everyone in my family is very private. I've shown a few layouts, but I try not to leave them up for very long. But I'm scrapping backwards in time, so my kids get younger every year, LOL, and aren't looking as much like their current selves, so I'll try to post more often. I'm curious to see what you do for your Arrow of Light layout. I have a scouting layout to do too, and while I have the basics worked out, I'm not sure about the extras that relate it to scouting. And I don't want to spend more money on stickers and such, so I've been checking out online ideas. Do you plan to go digital for your Arrow layout too? ( love your birdie! )

I'm scrapping backwards in time, so my kids get younger every year, LOL, and aren't looking as much like their current selves, so I'll try to post more often. I scrap backwards all the time, but more over a month or two, or at most a year. I am always drawn to scrap the most recent pic's. When those are done, I grab some from earlier. I scrapped my own kids all at once, when they were adults: an album for each of them completed within about 7 months, while I was learning how to scrapbook. Then I did some themed pages about my oldest grandkids. But now I scrap the dgk's as life happens. The only time I had to be careful about posting pic's was when our dd welcomed their son into their lives in a "foster to adopt" program. Once he was officially theirs, I was able to post pages about him. But I try to make my pages minimally searchable: no names in the titles or in the descriptions on line.

This will be short and sweet since I have been yacking my head off around here! Here is my layout some have been waiting for ! I did not add a lot of embellishments as the back ground paper is so busy with arrows everywhere. For those not aware this is the ceremony where the boys go from being a cub scout to a boy scout. Happy Sunday! Hope you all are enjoying your day. I have had a good weekend. Yesterday we went clothes shopping and I got a couple of cute blouses. I need a dress and some shorts so maybe I will get those today or this week. I am going to M's too to get some more supplies and just have fun. I ordered some solid color pillow covers and I want to paint or get some iron ons for a little extra something. scrapincin- Oh we were cheering and so happy for the Cav too. Ron was so nervous and so was I. LOL! So I hope they can win tomorrow. Your pictures are so amazing on the challenge. Love that bird shot. nylene- I know you did a great job speaking to your group. I am not a big fan of speeches these days either but you found a great way to handle the pressure of the moment. LisaDV- You are having a good time chatting with family and painting. Did you get to play in your scrap area too? Waving hi to you other sweet peas and have a good evening!

I don't know what made me think I could keep up with a photo a day with a houseful of people. The kids always want me to "come see, or come play, or such." It seems so quiet here when they leave at night! It was a crazy day, but we all had dinner here together. I'll be ready for them again tomorrow though. Great job, on both layouts, scrapincin. You are doing excellent work. BTW, the Arrow of Light is the highest award that a Cub Scout can earn and not all boys work that hard. It's more than just advancing into Boy Scouts. (Just had to brag a little on Bobby for you!) Gotta run. I'll check in as often as possible.

Good Sunday evening. I hope your Cousin Camp is going well, nylene. I am so jealous! Love your bird photos, and your baby robin page, scrapincin. And thanks for sharing the Arrow of Light pages. Left some comments in the Gallery. justjac, I hope you got home safely and that the heavy rainfall and resulting flash flood did not affect your home while you were gone. How did your weekend go, LisaDV? Did you get some time to just relax? kellyr21, it sounds like you had a busy weekend. Those pillows sound like a fun project, and new clothes are always a treat. Dd gave herself permission to shop for clothes this weekend and has been sending me texts of her purchases. I spent the day crossing off scrappy TO-DO items. I have now finished the grad pages, so they are ready for copying. I also finished a bd card and 5 fathers' day cards. Still have a couple of cards to create before the end of the week, but this definitely takes the pressure off. Another good thing is that I have been using my stamps and dies and embossing folders, all of which have been neglected for awhile. Even took out the mists for the Fathers' day cards. Good evening Peas! Hope all is well with all of you today! We got 93 degrees today so stayed in most of the day. I did get some time on the patio before it got hot. I love sitting out there in the mormig and watch the critters and birds. I also installed the newest software and got a surprise after hitting send for my image to be sent to the cutter. There are more screens and things you need to do. I am very glad they put on-site tutorials . You can find them under options under help Oh thank you to all of you who commented on my pages this weekend!

Monday evening check in. No crafting for me today. I drove to drop off my grad pages for copying, and put 3 fathers day cards in the mail. I also picked up a couple of bd gifts and a fathers' day gift for dh. While I was at the printers, I asked about a memory stick for photos, and they offered to transfer all my iPhone photos to the stick they sold me. So that was great. Came home. Did some garden work. We got the rows of peas hoed and the fences are up for them to climb. I need to get out there tomorrow and hand weed a couple of rows, because it is supposed to rain again on Wednesday. So loving your bird pictures, scrapincin . What kind of camera do you have?

Hi grammadee! I have a Canon DSLR EOS Rebel T3i and I usually use a zoom lense ef 75-3000mmmm. When I got it it came with 2 lenses the other is 18-75mmm. Of course I use larger one for the birds when they are in the norm Occasionally I get one with the smaller lens I love the bigger one for anything any kind of distance. What really is good I can take a photo away from where I am AT and when I get it onto the computer and zoom in on it and it doesn't get grainy! I hope that helps!
