maribeth, glad you found your phone. I hope you do better with your remotes than we do! New appliances, how nice but they just don't last as long as they did in years past, do they? Have a great weekend scrafting!! LisaDV, I had to laugh about your turkeys bringing home turkeys Reminds me of a neighbor who raised lambs and the 4 boys loved them. They fell apart when they had to be slaughtered. Their mom says to this day they won't eat mutton. Your pheasant sounds good. Haven't had that for 50 years since I left home. grammadee, I think you deserve a "down day" but it sounds like yours is much busier than my "down days". LOL! You are a busy lady. Congrats on a newly painted home. Ours needs to be power washed this summer. There is always so much upkeep. justjac, congrats on your award. That is pretty great. Do you teach all summer and during the rest of the school year too. How do you get so much done? I was cleaning my scraproom (like deep cleaning) on Monday because I have friends coming to scrap on Friday. Steve walked by and said, "Don't do that so early. You know you will then want to scrap and mess it up again." Well, he was right. I have finished 2 double pagers and have one laid out but not yet glued. Sure enough the room is a mess again, I have tomorrow to slick it up before they come. I need to keep telling myself, "you must not scrap, you must not scrap!" I need to run and download my latest photos for Photo A Day. It looks like I won't get the "in the rain" prompt because no rain is forecast this week. I will have to find a Wacky National Day prompt to make up for it.

Look, I got my 3rd Anniversary Pea today! Can't figure out why it took me 4 days to hear about this place after 2peas closed. So glad I did. Look at all the great friends we have met since coming here.

Good Thursday morning ladies nylene - no things do not last like they once did, hubby and I were just talking about that last night when we saw a brief clip on the old cars that Cuba has. I (not being a mechanic, and he is) asked, if those cars still run for them, how come we didn't keep them, why did we change to everything running by computers (which always seem to fail)? Everything is disposable now. We even talked about how you use to take TV tubes to the store to test them and $3.00 later your TV was repaired. Sad change I say. Boring day at work yesterday, and it will be worse today. Have a wonderful day ladies. |

nylene I teach from September until the end of June. I am looking forward to two months off. LisaDV I am going to my mom's for a week. Then DH and I are going to Jasper National Park at the end of July. Other than that nothing planned yet. Do you have any big plans? grammadee and I had a great chat on the phone last night. I hit the LSS sale and spent more than I planned. maribeth it seems to have gotten to the point where it's cheaper to buy a replacement than to repair a lot of things and that seems sad to me. Today is my last day of work and it's only half a day. Then I have to pack up for the visit to my mom's. I will be scrapping with a friend while I'm there so I need to get that ready to go, too. Does anyone know how I can put it back in my signature? It was great to chat with justjac last night. It has been a busy month, but strange when we don't touch base for a few weeks. July is looking pretty busy, too, but we are planning to get together to play for a few days before school starts again in the fall. It would have been fun to make it a Christmas in July party, LisaDV , but doesn't look like that will work for us. That's ok. We don't really need a theme to get out our scrappy supplies and photos and just start scrapping. And we will each be fitting in some time to participate in CIJ. Making a few cards, and a few gifts, just no uninterrupted couple of days that fit for both of us. Have fun at your playdate, nylene ! Sounds like your dh knows you pretty well! After the week you have had, maribeth , I suggest you enjoy your boring days at work! What are your plans for this upcoming weekend? BTW my siggy was hosted on photobucket and they have pulled the plug on me. Hope I can figure out how to host them someplace.

I've been away from this board for too long, but I was able to spend a little time today getting caught up with you all. Not much going on in my life, but it seems everyone and everything needs a piece of me lately, so no scrapping time and not enough Peaing time either. I'm just getting pulled in all directions. Thank goodness for grammadee 's photo challenge. It's been getting me out of the house for some exercise and some "me time" on a regular basis. It's a little early, but I'm going to wish you all a lovely weekend! |

grammadee - loving your pages, the are terrific, you really excel at double page layouts, you always tie them together so well. My weekend plans, scrafting, scrafting and more scrafting. Tomorrow is my bday (shhhhh let's not talk about it, I don't want to get any older), which gives me the built in excuse that I get to do what I want with the weekend. I will have to help move stuff out of the path that the appliances will take since they are scheduled to arrive on Monday. msliz - nice to see you around, hope you can get to scrafting yourself soon. .....later

Sorry, maribeth, but we must wish you Happy Birthdaytomorrow. I have started counting backwards with each birthday....I'm 39 this year! grammadee, I love your pages. Those little boys are so cute playing together. justjac, Congrats on the last day of school. Enjoy the next two months. msliz, I will miss seeing your photos each day. nylene, thank you for the birthday wishes - my facialist and nail tech said I was suppose to have started counting backwards when I turned 50, I was unaware of this fact, I guess I am late to that party. Looking forward to going to dinner tonight, we so seldom go out, it is a special treat indeed. Looking forward to another boring day at work, so looking forward to my scraft weekend. Well my friends (who are sisters) had an emergency this morning so they cancelled. My scraproom was SOOOO clean. So of course, I sat down and scrapped. I should have about 6 pages to post once I get them scanned.
I will come back later tonight and close this thread. Can you believe in a few hours it will be July???

Well I am really behind and I apologize for not getting comments on your projects I will try to catch up. It was I was so busy and taking care of the poor dog I was not in any mood to tackle anything. My neighbor is home and the dog is back at home. The poor guy just paced and paced and panted and got himself all worked up. He looked for her everyday she was gone. Then I had appointments for testing and to see a pulmonologist. He changed my medicine so here's hoping it helps! I will wait to chat more after Nylene posts the new thread.
