Has anyone read Richard Paul Evans new book, The Broken Road. It is the first in a series of three books.
The Author says it is a loosely based on a true story(albeit, the names and obvious information/story changed). About a guy(of somewhat well known stature, by a select group...kind of like/similar to a scrapbook celebrity, we would know them, but no one else would) who checked into his flight, then got off the plane to run back and get his forgotten carry on bag(forgot in the gift shop, when making a purchase). He ran back to board and the plane door was closed, and he wasn't able to get on the flight, which crashed and everyone on board died.
He then decided that since, he was presumed dead, he was go incognito and leave his old life behind. By chance, while doing research for another book, the Author encounters the guy, and recognizes him. Thus the telling of the guys story.
If the story is true, I am curious who it is about.

That sounds like a good book and it is even more interesting if it is based off a true incident - if so, I wonder who it was about?

I hadn't heard of this book so I don't have any idea who it might be based on but now I'm curious. I'm going to check the book out, it sounds good

I liked the book. It started out, a little boring and mundane, but I expected that(it's his writing style, it usually takes me a couple chapters to really get into it.
I loved Richard Paul Evans, The Walk Series. It's a series of five books, about a man who loses everything and walks across the country. The various books, are about the happenings and encounters, along the way.
