What a relief! We had met with the audiologist on Friday and he made new molds. We were set to go over there at 8:30 am tomorrow to take a check for the replacements. Are they already made? Wouldn't you have to pay for them in that case? Or will the audiologist be out the $$? I know who terribly expensive they are!!! Yikes! We will owe him for an office visit. I called them this morning to tell them we had found the hearing aids and to send us a bill for Friday. The molds are used by the manufacturer to actually make the casing or whatever it is called and it hasn't gone that far. That isn't the really expensive part, it is the actual electronics that are so expensive as far as I can tell. We shouldn't be out more than $200 for what has been done so far.

A little late to the party. I'm glad you've found them.
As a hearing aid user for 40 odd years I can't understand why he keeps them in the kitchen. There is way to much daily clean up which raises the risk of accidental losses. I keep mine in a little pot on my bedside table. At least if they are knocked off the table and into the bin - have cats......then the bin is not emptied daily to have to worry about them being thrown out.

I know it isn't the right place but that is what he wants and there are just too many battles to fight. Mother and I did buy a larger flat tray with sides for his medicines right after she remodeled the kitchen last year. She was tired of the mess on the counter. They are supposed to go IN the tray, not beside of it. I was at their house last night and they were IN the tray because I'd told him he had to put them in there from now on. So they are a bit more protected than just being on the counter.

Awesome update! I'm so glad they were found! That has to be a huge relief for you to not have to worry about the cost and hassle to replace.
